Jane and Grayson looked through the case file together. It was the case of a solider who was accused of murder. He claimed innocence. Grayson and Jane would be handling his appeal.

This case is very important, Fred had told her.

Every case is important, Jane replied.

Let me clarify. If you pull this off you will be back to being Deb again, Fred told her.

"Jane," Grayson said, "You okay?"

"Of course," Jane said snapping back to attention.

"It says here that there were several suspects. The police focused on this guy because-"

"Nicholas Tyler."

"Right. The police focused on Nicholas Tyler due to his PTSD."

"Grayson," Jane said, "I need you to get a list of the people who were also suspects and the causes of their being suspect."

"Of course," Grayson said.

He made a call to the D.A.

"The list should be faxed over any minute," he said.

She nodded.

"Grayson I know we said no more secrets. There's something I have to tell you."

Grayson gave her his full attention.

"After this case," she said, "I'm not going to be Jane anymore. I'm going to be Deb again."

"Seriously," he asked his eyes lighting up.

"Yes. I don't know how you feel about it."

He kissed her.

"This is amazing," he said, "I feel wonderful about it."

"I'll still be smart," Jane said.

"You've always been smart," Grayson said, "You have always been my insperation."

Jane laughed.

"Are you serious," she asked.

"I'm Grayson," he joked.

Jane laughed.

Grayson got serious.

"Yes I'm serious," he said, "You've been my insperation from the first word you've said to me."

"Are you seriously trying to pull off acid washed jeans," they both said together laughing.

He kissed the top of her head.

The fax beeped. The list was printed.

"I guess we should go through the list together," Grayson said.

"Sounds good," Jane said, "Here's to our last case together."

"And the new beginning of us," Grayson added.
