Just a 252 word Dramione drabble I had stuck in my head (and several of my notebooks)
"I'm sorry, I just can't do this any more. I love you like a brother, I don't care how cliché it sounds. I'm sorry, Ron, can we just go back to before? Can we go back to being friends?" His eyes are glazed, and she looks up at him, hoping she did the right thing. "Ron?" He snaps out of whatever trance he was in and gazes down at her. "No."
His distant and emotionless eyes scare her more than any amount of rage ever could. She rips away from him and escapes back to the safety of the Head's Common Room. Collapsed in tears just inside the portrait hole, she doesn't even notice the Head Boy whip his head up from his book and run over to her.
All she notices is the perfectly sculpted, cool, arms wrapped around her shaking form, lifting her up and gently setting her on the couch in front of the fire. He sits next to her and she leans against him, crying until his black robes are soaked. "I broke up with him, I couldn't do it anymore. I can't believe I don't love him! I spent so much of my life waiting for him to love me."
He lifts up her chin and wipes away her tears. His silver eyes diving deep down into her deep brown ones, he takes a deep breath speaks for what feels like the first time. "I've spent so much of my life waiting for you to love me."
