"What do you mean!?" A young girls voice said out loud. "Never mind..." Another voice said that sounded like a boy. "Whatever you say!" The female said again before the two were seen together standing on the sidewalk nearby a house.
"So how's it going?" The young boy asked his friend. "Nothing much just bored!" The young girl replied back to the young boy before swirling around in a cycle for a moment. "That's cool anyway, I wanted to see if you want to hang out together." The young boy was named Tori, who asked the young girl who was named Mika. "Sure, what do you have in mind?" Mika stared at Tori with a smile as she stopped trying to swirl around.
"Want to go to that gas station place that has some yummy to the Tummy slushy!?" Tori asked Mika with excitement as she agreed to go along with him somewhere. "Seriously? You got money to even get one!?" Mika said to Tori with curiosity as she crossed her arms with a look of doubt.
"Totally! It's going to be rad! Come on, let's go!" Tori noticed the doubt Mika was giving him as he shoved his hand into his pocket and took out a few dollars with a wide grin on his face to prove to her that he wasn't lying before grabbing onto her hand and pulling her with him. "Whoa!"
[A Few Minutes Later.]
"We're almost there just a few blocks left," Tori said with his hands in his pockets as the two travel together to the gas station that wasn't so far from where they were. "So how's your family doing?" Mika asked curiously as she noticed a few kids across the street playing together and laughing happily.
"They're fine as usual, besides the whole fighting over who wants to get a job," Tori replied to Mika as he sighs before rubbing his face at the remembrance of his family being really annoying sometimes and eventually shook the thought out of his mind. "Being an adult is hard, to be honest when you have to work to make a living which doesn't make sense to me." Tori also stated to Mika before they stopped at a red stop sign with a few vehicles passing by on the road in front of them.
"Why do you say that? What's wrong with working?" Mika asked Tori as she stared at him curiously what his answer would be about the topic he brought up. "Working isn't the issue that type of stuff really depends, to be honest, but what's the issue is paying taxes and stuff like that! Why should we even pay them? What have they been doing to deserve to get paid anyway?" Tori answered the question his friend Mika asked him with curiosity.
"Beats me, I'm not sure what exactly they earn to get paid for besides that I don't know," Mika replied back to Tori as she placed her arms behind her head while they began to cross the street when the stop sign disappear and was replaced with a walk sign instead. "Be nice if it was a free tax, country now that would make a huge difference, to be honest," Tori said as he looked around with a bored expression on his face with his hands back inside his pockets.
"That would mean people don't have to worry about spending a dime, but saving up instead," Mika said as she begins to think carefully about the topic and smiles at the idea, but not so sure how it would be without taxes. "Exactly my friend! Without taxes, this country should be rich by now and charity would be nice too." Tori stated with a wide smile as he begins to imagine a country with no taxes. "I like Charity! It's really fun to give things to those in need and it's really a good warm feeling inside to see others happy instead of seeing them sad." Mika also added as her eyes sparkle at the thought of helping those in need with charity as she sighs at the imagination dreamily.
"That's true for sure! But anyways here we are! This should be good." Tori said as he spread his arms wide to introduce the gas station ahead of them across the street with a few kids walking in and out the place with Slushy in their hands.
[A Few Moments Later.]
"What type of flavor do you like?" Tori asked Mika meanwhile the store clerk named Flip was busy in the background behind the counter reading a newspaper. "Hmm, I usually go with strawberry!" Mika happily reveals what her favorite flavor was before grabbing an empty slushy cup and straw.
"Strawberry it is then! Sweet! They got a new flavor here!" Tori pointed out with a smile as he grabs his own slushy cup and straw as well. "Really? Let me see!" Mika said as she pushes her friend Tori to the side a bit to get a better view of it which was a photo of the slushy machine that was white and gray with a question mark on it which sparks Tori curiosity.
"Wow, I never knew they added a new flavor called mystery zero?" Mika said with excitement building up at the sight of the new flavor logo and wonder what it might be. "Hey, sir! What's this new flavor called Mystery zero?" Tori asked Flip politely meanwhile Mika pokes the logo a few times before stopping to look over to the owner of the Flip's Food & Fuel store with a small smile.
"Ha-ha! That my boy is one of the rare editions I ordered yesterday and it sure tastes really good! You should go ahead and give it a try... Once you buy it of course!" Flip put his newspaper down on the counter to get a good look at the two young kids and smiled, knowing who they were as he explains what it was to them happily.
"Yes, sir! I'm sure I will give it a try for sure!" Tori replied with a smile and eventually begin to pour the mystery zero into his cup happily and quickly without wasting time. "So you're going to try out the Mystery, Zero?" Mika asks her friend Tori as he Looked at her with a grin. "Totally! I'm going to see if it really tastes really good if it's an edition!" He expresses to her with excitement building up inside his belly for some new yummy slushy.
"I think I'll stick with my Strawberry nothing can defeat that yummy taste!" Mika rejected as she pours her favorite flavor, strawberry into her slushy cup and eventually placed a lid on top of it and poke the straw into it.
"Here you go, sir! Two Slushies of a strawberry and another that's the mystery Zero edition you order yesterday!" Stated Tori when they eventually approach the counter with Flip smiling the whole time as he was calculating the price together for them meanwhile Mika couldn't help but giggle at Tori humor. "Well! That would be 2$ since you've been so kind, unlike some kids that are always trashing this place when I'm trying to work here!" Flip said with a slight annoyance in his voice about the other kids as he lowers the price for them with Tori and Mika being surprised by this and giving each other a high five happily.
"Sorry to hear, sir, but I'm sure they eventually get the memo and stop trashing the place up," Tori said to flip with concern on his face as he felt sorry for the old man that had to put up with reckless kids these days in his shop.
"Yeah, I guess your right eventually they will! But anyways enjoy your day and be careful today because I heard there will be a big storm coming around here soon." Flips replied before sitting back down on his seat and taking back up his newspaper. "A big storm? We never had big storms here at Royal woods! I wonder why now, though?" Tori said as he looked worried a bit by this sudden news while Mika was quite surprised as well to this.
"I'm not sure kids, but run along now I have some business to attend to!" Flip replied as he waves his hand at the two young kids to move along while still reading his newspaper. "Alright, sir goodbye!" Tori said as the two young kids exit the Gas station store with their Slushy in their hands that they brought together. "So a big storm is coming this way huh? I hope it isn't going to be really huge! That would be bad news for us." Tori said to his friend Mika as she drunk her Strawberry slushy as the two begin to look both ways before crossing the street back to the sidewalk to their neighborhood.
"Yeah, and I've seen what a storm can do too! I once saw a whole tree taken from A powerful storm and it flew across the field!" Mika explains as she expresses her concerns about the big storm being strong and powerful. "Wow, that's some dangerous stuff there," Tori said with a surprised look on his face when Nika explains about her first encounter with a big storm event. "Yeah! I know right and good thing nobody was around the field at the time." Mika continues with the two finally reaching nearby neighborhood called Franklin Avenue.
"I'm not used to big storms since I hadn't lived in such an environment like that," Tori explains while rubbing his head back with his free hand while thinking about it. "Same here and I don't exactly have relatives that live in such areas neither so it's 50 plus 50 chances of no big storms from where they are at," Mika replied with a small smile at her friend Tori while they passed a huge house nearby with a bunch of girls playing together and laughing out loud.
"Anyway, let's try out these slushy and see if this Mystery zero is really good or even better than strawberry!" Tori said to Mika with a smirk as he held his mystery zero slushy and shook it gently. "Yeah, right! Keep dreaming! Everyone knows that Strawberry rocks!" Mika protested as she laughs at this and begins to punch her friend's arm before sipping on her strawberry slushy.
"Ha-ha! Okay, here it goes!" Tori stated before sipping on his mystery zero Slushy. "So how is it?" Mika asked her friend Tori curiously meanwhile she sips on her favorite strawberry Slushy.
"Mmhh! This tasted really amazing! You should probably give it a try!" Tori express happily to his friend Mika while drinking his slushy that tasted almost like Raspberry and blueberry combine together.
"Uh, No thanks! You put your mouth on that straw and I'm not risking it." Mika said with seriousness in her tone as she continued to sip on her slushy while the two stopped at a stop sign with vehicles in front of them on the road passing by.
"What is that suppose to mean!?" Tori said out loud as if he was annoyed by her already with what she said to him. "Man cooties duh!" Mika explains to Tori what she meant as she stopped sipping on her strawberry slushy and gaze at him.
"You still believe in that stuff!? Unbelievable! Hahaha!" Tori asked Mika as he begins to laugh at this.
"Oh be quiet! You know how I am with drinking somebody else cup when they already put their mouths on it!" Mika stated before explaining herself to him about her problem of drinking used cups.
"Yeah, yeah, I know, I know." Tori gesture, his free hand in the air before sipping more of his new favorite flavor mystery zero.
"Hey is that the neighbor across the street that I've seen lately along with his sisters?" Tori said as the two kids took notice of a young boy with an orange polo shirt and rabbit-like chip teeth with freckles and mist noticeable white hair that stood out among the other kids alongside two young girls that looked the same assuming that they were twins.
"Who? Do you mean that really cute boy with that white hair?" Mika said with a smile on her face as she drinks the last of her slushy drink with Tori raising his eyebrow at this.
"Ew! You really think he's cute?!" Tori express in disgust at his friend's comment which led Mika to giggle at his reaction.
"Hey, a girl knows what she likes after all," Mika said playfully as she twirls around for a few seconds while the two eventually stopped.
"Should put a warning about girl cooties instead..." Tori mumbled while sipping the last of his mystery zero Slushy too.
"Oh, stop it! You're handsome yourself already." Mika said with a smile at her friend Tori, who seem to almost cough on his slushy.
"You really think so!?" Tori said with hope in his voice as he begins to imagine all the girls asking for his autograph and flashing lights from cameras.
"Maybe." Mika playfully said in the end while shaking her Slushy to see if there was more inside.
"Wow, what a supportive friend you are!" Tori said with a down expression on his face and rolls his eyes at her before checking his Slushy and noticed it was empty.
"Hey! Don't worry about it, I'm always there for you! You do know that right?" Mika said as she placed her hand on his shoulder to gain his full attention and smiled at him happily.
"Of course I do! We've always been friends from the start what can possibly stop that from ever happening!" Tori found a new spark of motive inside himself thanks to his friend Mika and stuck his fist up in the air with a cheerful tone in his voice.
"Yeah! You're right about that! Nothing can stop us from ever being friends!" Mika said as well as she stood beside him and held him close to her with her fist in the air alongside his.
"So do you want to meet that boy and ask him a few questions?" Mika asked her friend Tori as she smiled again before pointing to the young boy seen to be talking to his twin sisters about something.
"... Like what exactly?" Tori was taken back from this and wasn't so sure what his friend Mika was up to since they never really interact so much with any of the kids in different neighborhoods besides their neighborhood nearby.
