Hello. This is my first story, so it's not going to be perfect, sorry. Besides, I'm only in middle school. But Give it a chance.

Disclaimer:

I do not own teen titans or anything in the DC universe.

Robin's POV:

I chased the masked man down the streets, until my legs were burning, but I pushed on. I will not lose to Slade this time! Suddenly, Slade halted and turned around to face me with that malicious, overconfident smirk. God, I hate that smirk. It taunts me even while I'm asleep. I snarled when he said the famous words "Robin, Robin... You could be so much more than those Titans allow you to be, why can you not accept it?" "STOP LYING, SLADE!" I shouted, but deep down I knew it was true... "Oh, Robin, you just don't understand, do you? You see, I could teach you so much more than the Batman can. He limited you, Robin. And you know it. I could be so much more than a mentor to you. In fact, I could become the Father you never had." How dare he insult Batman! I lunged at him, blindly punching. I missed every time. "Every time Robin! You know better than to let your anger get a hold of you!"

"DON'T LECTURE ME!" I yelled and swung at Slade. He easliy dodged it and got a hit on me. I stumbled back with a growl, but before I could move an inch I felt a small prick on my neck. I started to see dark spots. But before the darkness took over I saw Slade smiling evilly. "No..." I said, reaching my hands out, but the darkness overwhelmed my vision and I blacked out.
