A/N: This was originally one story (with Book).. but it turned into two oneshots because the first bit was better written that the second... and unlike Misaki and Akihiko, they didn't belong together. XD
Please review and give corrections. TY in advance.
Misaki Takahashi was trying to read. And by trying to read, he meant really trying to read. The book's reviews.
The ones on the back of the book were short, some even one worded. "Brilliant!" and "*****" weren't enough to convince the teenager to read the whole book through though. He didn't care what others though of his lovers writing; all their opinions didn't matter.
Akihiko chose that moment to walk in.
"Welcome back, Usagi-san."
Usagi gave the teenage boy a weary smile, walking over to wrap his arms arm his neck and glance over Misaki's shoulder curiously. He noticed his own book on the table.
"Did you buy this?" He asked, pointing.
"Um... yeah. I thought I'd try and read it seeing as everyone likes it so much. How come you never told me you had another best-seller?" He said, rolling his eyes at the word another.
"Well, I didn't think you liked to read," Misaki rolls his eyes again, turning towards the man in his embrace. "so it seemed silly to tell you about these things. Besides, if you wanted I could get you a copy easily. I wrote it afterall."
"But I wanted to buy it Usagi-san. Then it's mine. It pisses me off that Sumi-sempai reads all of your books and he hates them! I can't even open one!" The boy explained. Akihiko moved his arms from around his neck, to around his waist, reaching behind him and picking up the book.
"See, here. This is probably the only reason people are so interested in and buying the book." With one arm still around Misaki, Akihiko opened the book on the third page; the dedication.
For the one I love.
Akihiko smiled, remembering when he wrote that at the beginning and Aikawa's reaction when she saw it.
""You're dedicating this book to Misaki!?"
She had almost fainted from fangirling.
"But he'll probably never read this." He said aloud, adding to the dedication. He frowned. Misaki did too.
"I will you know, Usagi-san. I might not like reading all that much thanks to Kamijou-sensei," Akihiko smirked slighly. That man could put anyone off reading for life, specially with his medieval-like ways of teaching. "but if it's by you, I'll definitely read it."
Akihiko seemed to conjure up another hardback book by magic from nowhere and gave it to Misaki. It was cleary more recently written.
"Can you start with this one? It would mean a lot to me." He said seriously, looking a bit sad, maybe even hopeful? Worried?
Misaki gently took the book from the author and flicked past the copyrights, publishers notes, authors notes and straight to the dedication.
Will you marry me?
