"You're full name, and date of birth, please.", She sits in the uncomfortable metal chair that she's positive Fury keeps there just for her discomfort, a mere six inches from the man that almost took over the world.
"That file doesn't have it in there? How strange. I thought you people were supposed to be thorough.", That evervescent smirk sitting smugly across his features. It makes her want to hire Hulk to punch him.
"Listen, you can either be a sarcastic pain in my ass, or you could try to use that princely training you were bound to have had on Agard to answer my questions.", She smiles at him, knowing that she could personally make his life hell if he didn't behave himself.
"Ooh, well, someone isn't having a very good day." He looks down at his hands. Sighs. "Fine. I'll answer your questions. Loki Laufeyson. Born roughly 2,000 years ago, give or take a few months. And you would be...?".
"Agent Mallory Currie, Senior Interrogator for S.H.I.E.L.D. Funny, you don't look a day over 1,000.".
"Flattery will get you everywhere."
"Would you please explain the reason behind your invading New York?"
"Well, aren't you all business. The Reason? I want what rightfully belongs to me."
"And what, exactly, is that?"
"Power. Absolute Power. Is that so hard to understand? I want what all people want."
"You think all people want power? Why is that?"
"Look me in the eye, and tell me that you don't dream of power. Of having people in subjection to you. Bowing to you."
"I can honestly say I don't dream about that. My dreams aren't psychotic, unlike some people."
"I'm not psychotic. I'm merely aware of what I want from life. You are blinded. By what, I have no idea. But I think I'm going to make it my mission to take your blinders off."
"And if I'm not blinded? What, then?"
"Well, I think that I found my perfect companion. Sarcastic, sassy, and quite beautiful. A god among mortals. You wouldn't be Asgardian, by any chance?"
"No, just tired-of-your-shit. It's a very ancient race of humans, came into existance right about the time Asgardians decided to stick their nose in our business. We're the front line defense against you guys."
"I knew I liked you for a reason.", The guards came in, after that, and cuffed his hands behind his back, taking him to his cell. Before exiting the interrogation room, he looks back over his shoulder at her. "I look forward to our next meeting, Lady Mallory." He smiles at her, the first genuine one she's seen him give, and he leaves the room, guards holding his arms in place. She finds herself looking forward to it, strange as it may seem, and she allows herself a smile, too.
