I love the feel of motion. Even falling to my death is a pleasant feeling. Personally I didn't really care what would happen when or if I landed. The moon was so big and bright and round that it kind just pushed all the fear I usually would have away.
Then it was over. Surprisingly though, I felt no pain. I opened my eyes slowly fearing what I might see, but there was nothing there to be afraid of. I was still looking up at the moon. It was just as big and as bright as it was before. Let me just say that I am not a good listener because it took me a while to realize that the moon was actually speaking to me. Well, I mean I guess I only really listen when I wanted to and now was not one of those times. The moon was going on about something like "You are now Cupid, Spirit of Affection. You will bring joy to those who see you." I liked the sound of that. Not sure why, but something about my job being to bring joy to others made me really happy. It was certainly better than homework, even though I can't remember ever doing any homework. I have very few fragments left of what I was before Cupid. Actually I don't think they're even my memories, they just don't seem like me.
Anyways, when the moon was done with this speech I got up and looked around to see where I was. It was somewhere forested, snowy, and probably mountainous seeing as how I was standing at the bottom of a medium-sized cliff. My shoulder blades felt heavy like something was on them. Then I heard the ruffling of feathers. I turned around and around trying to figure out where it was coming from. The more I turned, the more the feathers ruffled. I swear I must have spun for at least five minutes before I heard the sound of someone laughing and I'm pretty sure it was at me.
"Stop laughing! It's not funny!" I shouted. Man, I had a much girlier voice than what I would have expected.
"Sorry, but you don't seem to realize that noise is coming from you." He said. I could tell it was a teenage boy because at times it very subtly cracked.
I looked over my shoulder to see a pair of pink, glistening angel wings. They didn't come with an instruction manual so I had no idea how to use them.
"Oh" I replied still astonished by their beauty.
The boy jumped down from his hiding place in a nearby tree.
"I'm Jack Frost. And you are?" He looked at me with a pair of crystal blue eyes. He leaned on a wooden stick with a curve at the top.
"Cupid. Or at least that's what the moon told me." I replied still dazed by everything that had just happened.
"Wait a second!" I yelled running to the highest point I could get to. Something told me to do this and it wasn't the moon.
"CAAAAAAARRRAAAAAAA!"
