Paperflower Angel

My first one-shot fic! It's dedicated to a very good friend of mine, Rachel. I luff you Rachie! This is from Kiba's point of view, by the way.

You know how people say they're bored, even though they have, like, a gazillion things they could be doing? Like reading a book, or training, or just doing something? This was not one of those times.

This was one of those times where you're stuck in the middle of bloody nowhere, your best friends are a couple and you can't even read or train, so you're bored as hell.

Fun, right?

Not.

Funnily enough, I decided to go explore, even though I knew that the only thing in this area was a natural hot spring, and that was no fun alone.

Yeah, you heard me right.

Alone.

Akamaru was sick, so Hana kept him with her. I wasn't even allowed to visit him! Ugh.

As I was saying, I was that bored, that I decided to look around. I was nearing the hot spring, when I heard a soft voice singing. At first, I thought it was Hinata.

Damn, it was a beautiful voice. It was really captivating, and it literally held me in place.

Once the voice stopped, I was so intrigued, that I crept closer.

What did I see when I got there? A head of some of the bluest hair I have ever seen, and a paper flower nestled on top.

Once again, I thought it may have been Hinata.

Looking closely, I could see that it wasn't. Not that I had as good of a view as I may have liked.

From the back, though, it was amazing. Such pale, creamy skin…

I was sure that if I reached out and touched it, it would feel smooth, and completely unblemished.

I moved to take a step forward, and a twig snapped under my foot. I silently cursed to myself as I watched the girl stiffen. She did not look around to see who was there, like I thought she would, but instead slowly slipped under the water.

Waiting for her to resurface felt like hours, but it was probably less than a minute.

The last thing I saw of her, was the hair rising to the surface, before losing sight as it bobbed behind a rock.

Next thing I knew, the melodious voice was speaking to me.

"Who are you?"

I bit my lip in thought. Should I reveal myself? Shrugging to myself, I decided to.

"Kiba." I replied, keeping my voice as steady as possible. I didn't tell her my last name for a reason, and I knew that I had to make sure I didn't tell her it, no matter how enticing she was.

"Kiba… Why are you here?" She asked, and my eyes widened when I realized that she hadn't asked for my last name.

"Aren't I allowed to be here? Is it only for beautiful women?" I asked, allowing the right amount of teasing into my voice.

"And if it is?" The voice spoke, sounding amused.

"Then I'd just have to turn into a beautiful woman. I think I can pull that off." I nodded to myself, pleased with her reaction.

We went on like that for quite a while, actually. She was so… different. In a good way. Not like any of the other girls I've met before, and yet ultimately so appealing. Her sense of humor was great too! If Akamaru was here, I bet he would have liked her too. I just wish I could have seen her face!

I completely lost track of time, and it was at least midnight before I realized that I had to get back.

"Will I speak to you again?" I asked.

"Perhaps. Good-bye, Inuzuka Kiba."

"Good-bye, Paperwing Angel." I gave her this nickname, as I watched a flurry of paper flowers drift away from the area on a breeze

I trudged back to the camp, a silly grin on my face, and slipped into bed.

It was only when I was sleeping into a content slumber that I remembered that she had used my full name…

Hope you like it! Constructive criticism is appreciated, but please don't flame.

Also, I was wondering... Should I turn this into a proper story, or just keep it as a oneshot?
