A/N: There will also be some different outcomes and results in this. Some characters will live that didn't survive in the original Son of a Tyrant. Also I decided to make Keith and Clem the same height in this. Plus, I'll be switching back and forth between Clementine and Keith to give a clear point of view of Season 2.

Finally, I will be borrowing OCs from Ken10HeroForce (Magixben1124) and FanFic Productions, but not very many. I will borrow Sophia and Madeline Carver from FanFic Productions and as for Magixben1124… you guys will have to wait and find out.

"Come on, come on! Move!" The young boy exclaimed. He was practically dragging his younger sister through the forest with him. What just happened was something that neither would forget for a long time. It was a horrible thing to witness, and it would haunt them for the rest of their lives. The forest was dark and dreary which matched the horrible events of the day. The cool wind blew by but the boy and the girl were dressed in warm clothes. Finally, the boy, Keith, couldn't hear the angry voice that was chasing them. He huffed in relief as his younger sister fell to her knees.

"Maddie?" Keith said as he got down on his knees and placed his hands on her shoulders.

She looked up to her older brother with tearful eyes and she sobbed, "Mommy, daddy… they're gone."

"I know." Keith said as he looked down with a frown. More tears came to her eyes as Keith hugged her. "I'm here. I won't leave you."

"Yes, you will. Carver will find us and kill us just like he did to mommy, daddy, and Sophia." Madeline sobbed.

Keith pulled her away from his hug and he exclaimed, "Hush now! That's not going to happen!" He jumped upon hearing himself. He had never yelled at his sister before. It was so abnormal. He adored both of his sisters. They weren't siblings, they were something more. It was so unusual; he would constantly hear from his friends at school on how much they hated their siblings, but Keith could never say that about Madeline or Sophia. Sophia was so kind and wonderful to be around. She was a tomboy at heart and loved to play video games with him and Madeline before everything happened. She also looked after Keith and Madeline. And Madeline was one of the sweetest little girls that ever had existed. There wasn't a mean bone in her body. It was unfortunate that a lot of people knew that in her school. She was bullied a lot, and when the dead rose, she and Keith would constantly get beaten on by their own father, William Carver.

Keith knew that he made a big mistake by yelling at Madeline. She started to cry again and Keith looked to her with sympathetic eyes. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you. A lot has happened, and I…" Keith trailed off as tears started to form in his eyes. He hated his predicament. All the stress of losing his entire family except for his little sister was overbearing. "…Look Maddie. I'm not perfect, but I want to look after you. Let's just get out of here. We'll be okay."

Madeline didn't respond but she did stop crying. She released a couple of whimpers as Keith got up. He helped the younger girl to her feet and held her hand. They then started to walk through the forest with both being lost in thought. Keith would have to take on the difficult task of taking care of his younger sister and himself. A task which would prove to be challenging if everything was normal.

Hours Later

The evening sun created quite a picturesque sky as Keith continued to lead his younger sister through the woods. Madeline was so quiet and it made Keith worry about her. She hadn't said a word since Keith accidentally snapped at her. "Are you okay, Maddie?" Keith asked. He squeezed her hand so that she would respond.

"I… I'm tired and a little hungry." Madeline replied.

"Yeah, I am too." Keith said. He looked around until he spotted what appeared to be a cabin in the distance. He stopped and looked to the structure. It didn't seem to be occupied. There were plenty of spider webs that littered the front porch. "Let's check out that cabin. There might be food inside." Keith said as he turned to his younger sister.

Madeline looked down with frown and said, "Okay." She was still depressed by the day's events, but it's not like Keith could blame her. After all, he was also shaken up.

Keith looked up with a frown forming on his face. "Stay close to me." Keith said. He drew his pocket knife and approached the cabin. Madeline followed but it was evident that she was in her own world. Her stare was emotionless and seemed to be focused on nothing in particular. Keith walked up the porch and looked around; there was nothing around the area, not even walkers. Keith opened the door to the dark cabin. It was good that it was dusk; he could still see the inside. He looked around the large conjoined living room, kitchen, and dining room. He didn't see any lurkers and there was no foul odor which accompanied the lurkers, but he didn't want to take his chances.

Keith looked to Madeline and handed the pocket knife to her. "Call for me if you see any lurkers or if you see people. Keep this to protect yourself." Madeline gave a nod, but it was clear that she was only half-listening. Keith got out his slingshot and headed up the stairs.

He went to the first room and found it to be just a bedroom. It seemed good enough to sleep in. He checked the next room and saw that it was a bathroom. He went inside and checked the sink drawers for any medical supplies, but he came up empty handed. He sighed before he left the room. The next room he checked was locked. "Locked, but probably for a good reason." Keith said. He could smell the familiar foul stench of death from behind the door.

Keith walked down the stairs to see Madeline staring at… he couldn't believe what he was seeing… it was his older sister, Sophia, but she seemed transparent and radiant. He was flabbergasted. He knew she was dead. Was it her ghost? She looked up to him and mouthed, "Take care of her, Keith. I love you both." At that moment she faded away. Keith wasn't sure what he saw but he knew that Sophia was a Christian, just like everyone in his family. Even his estranged father was Christian so she couldn't have been in the other place that he would never want to be in. Plus, Sophia seemed at peace with herself. There was a lighter air with her.

Keith shook his head out of these thoughts and headed down the stairs. He went up to Madeline who was silently crying. He looked down to see his knife on the ground. He knew what she was going to do. She had more loved ones in Heaven than what she had down here on Earth. No wonder she was so quiet. She must have been planning and waiting for the opportunity all day. "Hey, hey." Keith said as he pulled her into a hug.

"I… I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Madeline sobbed.

"Sh… it's okay." Keith said. He started to rock her from side to side and rubbed her back to comfort her.

"I… I tried to…" Madeline said.

"It's okay now." Keith said. "I'm here and I love you. I will always love you."

Keith and Madeline laid in the bedroom. It was quite dark outside being late in the evening. Both were struggling to find sleep. After Keith had calmed Madeline down, they both managed to find some food in the kitchen. It was enough to keep them going, but it didn't fill their stomachs too much. "Keith… what do we do now?" Madeline asked.

"We have to find Luke and the others." Keith said. "They might be a little ways from here, but we'll find them."

"Okay…" Madeline said. There was a pause before the girl spoke again. "Keith?"

"Yeah Maddie?" Keith said.

"…I really miss mommy and daddy." Madeline said.

Keith was saddened by his sister's remark. "I know you do. I miss them too." Madeline had turned eight only three weeks ago so she wasn't very independent. She was also the baby of the family, and surprisingly, she had enjoyed her mother's and step-father's coddling. Keith also adored his parents and he found their coddling of him comforting even though they didn't coddle him as much. He was alright with that. They coddled him enough to where he felt loved, but not to the point where they were smothering him.

Keith smirked upon thinking of a funny story and he asked, "Do you remember when Nick was looking after us and you and I decided to paint his x-box controller?"

Madeline giggled and said, "Yeah, I remember that. It was so funny to see him throw a fit."

"Then he got his revenge on me when I was sleeping." Keith said with a grin on his face.

"You looked so funny." Madeline said. "Why didn't he ever get back at me?"

"Because you were little." Keith said. "I mean you were just a baby at the time. You were only four years old. Besides, he knew that I was the mastermind behind that plan."

"Yeah… I really miss him. He was fun but also really nice." Madeline said.

"I just hope he's okay… wherever he is." Keith said. A few minutes passed and Keith looked to his sister to see that she was asleep. Sleep was starting to overwhelm him as well and he started to close his eyes.

Morning

Keith and Madeline had woken up and were now downstairs gathering what little food was left for their walk to find Luke and his group. Madeline seemed to have something on her mind. She looked up to Keith as he zipped up his backpack. "Do you really think that we should find Luke?" Madeline asked.

"Well, it's the only thing I can think of." Keith said as he swung his backpack over his shoulder. "I just hope he finds us since he doesn't know us."

"He knows Carver." Madeline said. She could never call William Carver her father after what he did to her and her family. He had beaten on her and Keith quite a few times and he had cheated on her mother. Now, he had killed her mother, her step-father, and her sister.

"Yeah but he doesn't know who we are. He's never met us before." Keith said.

"Yeah, I… I guess you're right." Madeline said; however, she was still fidgety on the idea of searching for Luke. "Rebecca and Carlos are going to be mean to us. I-I don't think I can handle it right now." Her eyes started to tear up.

Keith knelt down to her height and held her by her shoulders. "Hey, come on. You're getting yourself worked up."

"I'm sorry." Madeline said as she wiped her tears.

Keith smiled to her and said, "They may say some mean and nasty things, but I'll be there for you."

A small smile formed on the small eight year old's lips and she said, "Thank you."

Keith got back up and said, "I'm going to grab a blanket from the living room. You should relax for a couple of seconds, okay? We're going to be doing a lot of walking today."

"Okay." Madeline said. She walked over to one of the chairs that were at the dining table and sat down on it as Keith went into the living room to retrieve a blanket.

Suddenly, Keith heard the door open up in the kitchen. He immediately ducked and kicked himself for not keeping Madeline close to him. "Well, what do we have here?" A mysterious voice was heard. It didn't sound good. It sounded wrong and made a cold chill go up Keith's spine.

"Who are you?" Madeline asked. Her voice wasn't out of fear or suspicion; it was out of curious innocence. Erin and Derrick never taught her that she needed to be careful around strangers.

"My name is not too important dearie." The man said. Keith headed for the kitchen with his knife at the ready. He made his approach as quiet as possible by taking light footsteps. He doubt that he could best the man with his own strength, and if the man had a gun, Keith would be done for. "So what about you?" The man asked.

"My name's Madeline, but my friends and family call me Maddie." Madeline said. Keith rounded the corner to the kitchen to see the man in front of his sister. The man looked filthy with the clothes he had on and it was apparent by the smell that the man didn't bathe regularly. Hygiene was always at the top of Erin's list. She made sure that Keith, Sophia, and Madeline would bathe regularly. Additionally, the man's clothing was torn and shredded, but Keith's eyes quickly found their way to the man's weapon. It was a handgun.

"Madeline… that's a pretty name." The man said.

"Thanks, but why won't you tell me your name?" Madeline asked. Keith got closer and closer to the man.

The mysterious man laughed out an intimidating and sneering laugh and said, "Well, that's simple. I don't tell my victims my name."

"Victims?" Madeline asked, but before she could say another word, the man grabbed a hold of her neck. He was choking her with one hand while his other hand ran down to her pants, but before he could proceed any further, Keith stabbed the man in the back of the head. Keith huffed and he drew the blade out of the man's skull. The now dead man fell to the ground leaving a frightened Madeline in his wake.

"Maddie, are you okay?" Keith asked.

"I… I think so. What did he mean by victims? What was he going to do to me?" Madeline asked. Her eyes were full of hurt. She was so nice to the man and she must have wondered why the man would attack her at a moment's notice.

"It's something very awful." Keith said. "This man was a bad man. He wanted to hurt you."

"But he was being nice." Madeline said. She was so confused and so scared.

"He was acting that way so that you would trust him." Keith said. He cleaned his knife off of the man's clothing before he walked up to the chair that Madeline was sitting in. She seemed to be on the verge of crying again. Keith hugged the girl and said, "You're alright. I'm not going to let anything happen to you."

"Promise?" Madeline whimpered.

"I promise." Keith said as he started to rock her.

Night Time

Keith and Madeline were walking along the river bank. They were both tired as they made their long trek. They had found clues on where Luke's group was heading, but they must have taken a wrong turn. "Keith, I'm really tired. Can we please stop?" Madeline begged.

"Yeah, I'm about to fall over myself." Keith said. "I can't believe we are so close in finding them." He dropped his backpack nearby before he scrounged up some nearby debris from the nearby torn up walkway. Meanwhile, Madeline also dropped her backpack and laid on the ground. She was noticeably exhausted, but Keith had to make sure she did eat something. She hadn't eaten all day. "Maddie, don't fall asleep yet. Let me get this fire started and then I need to make us something to eat." Keith said as he struggled to bring the fire to life.

She released a whine and said, "The ground's not comfy."

Keith chuckled and said, "No, it's not."

The fire started to sizzle and crackle as Keith got up. He closed up his lighter and turned to Madeline. She got up from her uncomfortable seat and looked to Keith with worried eyes. Keith knew there was something wrong. He looked to her as she looked out into the dark waters of the river. "Keith… there's someone out there." Madeline said.

Keith turned and saw what appeared to be a purple colored object in the water. It was unresponsive, but it also appeared rather small. It was a girl. He went into the water and pulled the body of the girl to shore. "I-Is she okay?" Madeline asked.

"She's not breathing. I'm going to have to do CPR." Keith said as he started to do chest compressions. Madeline watched on as her brother tried to save life of the girl. He tried to open up the girl's airway by mouth-to-mouth resuscitation until finally the girl's body jerked up and she started to cough out water. Keith started to pat her back to help her release more water. After a couple of minutes, the girl's coughing stopped and she stared to huff. "Are you okay?" Keith asked. "You got to be freezing." The air was cold enough without being drenched to the bone. Keith was also cold since he had to go into the river, but he only had to go knee-deep.

Keith took off his backpack and pulled out the blanket that he grabbed from the cabin this morning and wrapped the girl in the blanket. She must have been exhausted since she didn't stay conscious for very long. Her eyes were soon shut and her breathing was calm.

"Is she okay?" Madeline asked with a hint of fear in her voice.

Keith checked the girl's pulse and said, "She's okay. She's probably just tired."

He sat back down after checking the girl's vitals and looked to the campfire. He was soon joined by Madeline sitting next to him and leaning against his shoulder. "You're always comfy." Madeline said to her brother.

Keith chuckled. The fire's sizzles and cracks soothed the two children and before either knew it, they both had fallen asleep.

"Excuse me, hello?" Keith heard a sweet sounding voice. His eyes opened and he looked to the same girl that he saved last night. "Hi, I hate to just bombard you with questions but… Do you know what happened last night?"

"Yeah, my sister found you passed out in the river and I dragged you to shore. I performed CPR on you to resuscitate you." Keith said. "I thought you weren't going to make it. I was really afraid that you would have died from hypothermia."

The girl's face soon turned to shock but only temporarily. She smiled at Keith and said, "You saved my life. Thank you." Suddenly, Keith heard her a growling sound. The girl clutched her stomach and blushed. "Sorry, I guess I'm really hungry."

"That's fine. I have some food in my backpack." Keith said. He looked over to his younger sister who was starting to wake up. She released a yawn and got up to stretch. Keith stretched as well before he grabbed his nearby backpack.

Keith rummaged through his backpack as Madeline started to talk to the girl. "Hi, I'm Madeline but you can call me Maddie for short."

"Hi, I'm Clementine." The girl responded.

"Here, we go." Keith said as he pulled out a bag of fruit gummies. "We'll share the bag; they're a little hard and stale but they still taste very good."

Clementine's eyes widened and she started to drool a little. "I like that idea." Clementine said.

"Me too. I'm really hungry." Madeline said. Keith sat back down and the two girls sat next to him. The three enjoyed the fruity tasting gummies. It was a nice pleasant treat especially for the new girl.

"I haven't had these in years." Clementine remarked with a satisfied smile on her face. She turned to the boy and asked, "What's your name?"

"My name's Keith." The boy said as he popped a gummy in his mouth.

"Well, it's nice to meet you, Keith." Clementine said as she ate another gummy. She seemed at peace with herself like as if it was the first time that she could lower her guard. She must have felt safe in the small camp.

Keith couldn't help but steal a couple of glances of Clementine. She was very pretty and kind. A light blush formed on his face but not for long. He was starting to wonder why he felt something for the girl. She was the first girl that he met that was near his age in a long time. He wasn't going to mess things up with the girl. There were many ways that he could mess it up. He was always quiet in school and girls would usually not care about talking to him. He knew that his limited experience in relationships would only blow up in his face. Plus, he wasn't the most romantic person on Earth. He was a simple Christian boy who was a bit of a nerd when it came to Batman and definitely Kingdom Hearts. For the sake of keeping the peace of the small group he was in, Keith would keep himself under control and only look at Clementine as a good friend. He wasn't going to ruin a good friendship. Plus, he didn't want to hurt the girl in any way, and he knew that if he stayed as her friend, that she wouldn't get hurt by him.

The three enjoyed each other's company and soon finished the bag of gummies. Keith started to pack up as Madeline and Clementine watched on. He rolled the blanket up, placed it in his backpack, and zipped his backpack.

After getting everything organized, Keith joined the two girls, and they went up to the broken boardwalk which was out of reach. Keith looked at the crumbled up walkway and examined it. After a couple minutes of pacing around and examining it, he sighed and said, "There's no other way. I'll have to give you a boost."

Clementine nodded and Keith got underneath the walkway. He got down on one knee and brought the other close to his chest. His hands were cupped and he awaited for Clementine. She showed hesitation in getting up to the boardwalk. She knew it would feel awkward to be boosted up by a boy. Nonetheless, she walked to him and put one foot into his cupped hands. He grunted and brought her up to the boardwalk. She grabbed onto a piece of wood and grunted as she hauled herself up.

She looked down to Keith and said, "Glad that's over."

"Sorry." Keith said. "If there was another way, I would have taken it. Okay, Maddie, you're next. You're going to have to get on my shoulders if you want to be able to get up there." Keith was right. The girl was below the average height for her age. The girl nodded in response and Keith crouched down so that the girl could climb on top of his shoulders. Keith wrapped his hands around her ankle and stood upright. He felt the rather light eight year old being lifted from his shoulders and looked up to see Clementine helping Madeline onto the boardwalk.

"Okay. My turn." Keith muttered. He stepped back a bit and ran toward the boardwalk. He jumped up and grabbed Clementine's hand. The girl grunted as she pulled him up.

"Thanks." Keith said once he was on the boardwalk.

"No problem." Clementine said. "So it's just you and your sister?"

"Yeah… we've been on our own for a couple days now." Keith said as he looked to Madeline. The younger lowered her head and had an evident frown.

Clementine noticed the girl's reaction and asked, "Is Madeline okay?"

"Yeah, she… we've been through a lot, but I'd imagine you've been through a lot as well." Keith said. "We're trying to find this group of people. They may not be friendly, but… Maddie and I are going to need their help."

"Okay… maybe they can help me find Christa." Clementine said.

"Who's Christa?" Madeline asked.

Clementine smiled to see that the younger girl was no longer saddened. "Christa's the woman I was with. She's looked after me… kind of." Clementine said although she appeared to be saddened.

"What do you mean?" Madeline asked. Keith was also curious on what Clementine meant.

"I… I did a stupid thing eighteen months ago. I was nine at the time. I didn't keep a track of my things. A scavenger surprised me and took my gun. She would have killed me, but Omid, Christa's boyfriend, saved me. But Omid lost his life in doing so." Clementine explained.

"It's not your fault. You were really young at the time." Keith said.

"I was young and stupid." Clementine said in a harsh tone.

"Hey, come on now." Keith said in a comforting tone. "I don't think you're stupid. It was just a mistake. As humans, we all make mistakes. All we can do is forgive each other for our short-comings."

Clementine was surprised by what she heard and she looked up. "I still feel really guilty about it."

"I bet that Omid guy really cared about you. He'd be happy to know that you were okay." Madeline said.

Clementine smiled at the younger girl and the boy that was her age. "Thank you. I guess I never realized how much I've kicking myself over that." Clementine said.

"No problem." Keith said. "We got to look out for each other." Clementine smiled and nodded her head in agreement. The three looked up to the clearing that the boardwalk led to. "Well, let's get going. I might be able to pick up the group's trail. I know that we're close. Maddie and I just took a wrong turn yesterday."

"Lead on. I'll follow behind you." Clementine said. Keith smiled to her before he turned and walked up the stairs of the boardwalk to the clearing. Madeline followed close behind Keith and Clementine followed Madeline.

The three reached the top of the stairs, and they looked over the clearing. The clearing had a couple of graves in the far left, while on the far right there was a dead walker with a flagpole sticking out of its skull. Keith looked to the ground and said, "There's no tracks here. We'll have to keep going."

"Okay." The two girls said at the same time.

Keith led the way again, and they started to walk down a trail. All three of the children walked on somewhat terrified. Clementine held her arms while Madeline and Keith held each other's hands for comfort. The trees didn't help with the atmosphere as they stood over the three with an intimidating, dark look. The three noticed a fallen tree on the path and proceeded forward. "I'm going to climb over it." Keith said. He turned to Clementine and asked, "Can you help Maddie on your side? I'll help her down, but it would help if you got her up onto the tree."

"Yeah, I'll help her." Clementine said.

"Thanks." Keith said with a smile aimed at Clementine. Madeline released her grip on Keith's hand and the boy climbed over the fallen tree. It was a struggle to climb over without having his little sister with him, so there would have been no way that he could have gotten over the tree with her. Keith jumped off of the tree and said, "Okay. I'm on the other side." He waited for Clementine to help Madeline onto the fallen tree. It wasn't long till he saw his sister and was able to help her down. "Don't worry. I got you." Keith said as he helped her to get onto the ground.

Clementine was next. Like Keith, she struggled getting over the fallen tree, but she was able to reach the other side. "Thanks for helping me." Madeline said to both of the older children.

"You're my little sister, Maddie. It's my job to help you." Keith said.

"Yeah, you don't need to thank me. Like Keith said, we got to look out for each other." Clementine said.

The three headed down the road. They were still concentrating on the trees until a flock of crows came out of nowhere. The three gasped and took a couple of seconds to get their bearing. Keith could feel his younger sister's grip tightened. She was obviously scared. They kept going until they heard a rustle from the nearby bushes. "Stay here." Keith whispered to his younger sister.

Madeline looked down with a frown and released Keith's hand. Keith approached the bush with caution. He wasn't sure what was on the other side. He pulled out his pocket knife and opened up the blade as he approached the bushes. He was crouched down as he made his approach.

He pulled back some of the bushes and was surprised to see a dog sniffing the ground. His face went from worry to happiness in a matter of seconds. "Hi boy!" Keith exclaimed as he closed up the pocket knife. The dog turned and growled at him. Keith was shocked and he started to back away.

"What is it?" Clementine asked.

"It's a dog." Keith replied. Keith focused his attention on the dog. "It's okay, boy, it's okay…" The dog stopped growling and barked at him and the dog started to wag his tail. Clementine and Madeline approached the dog which made him become defensive again. Clementine stayed in place, but Madeline started to back away until she felt Keith's arm around her shoulders. "It's okay, boy, this is my little sister." Keith said.

Clementine got down and checked the dog's collar and said, "You're name's Sam." The dog barked, but it wasn't the same intimidating bark from earlier. Madeline relaxed and smiled at the dog.

Suddenly, the dog turned his head toward the other direction and walked down the trail. "What's he doing?" Clementine asked.

"Something other than us must be in his territory." Keith said. Clementine turned to him with a questioning look and Keith explained, "I had a dog once."

"We did?" Madeline asked.

"Yeah… he was a gift to mom and dad when they got married. He died about a couple of weeks after you were born." Keith explained.

Suddenly, the dog stopped sniffing the ground and started to run in a barking frenzy. "Hey wait, what'd you find, boy?" Clementine asked.

The three children ran after the dog, but it didn't slow down in the slightest until they reached an abandoned camp. Once at the camp, the dog sniffed around. The campsite was completely destroyed. Pots, pans, and empty food cans littered the area. One of the tents was burnt to a crisp while the other laid in shatter pieces. And a rusted out van sat near the edge of the camp.

"I know this place looks bad but we should try to find some food." Keith said. "I think I'm all out."

"Okay." Clementine said. Keith and Clementine looked around the camp while Madeline was left to explore. Keith checked the shattered tent while Clementine looked into the van.

Neither was having much success until Madeline ran up to Keith and said, "Keith, look what I found."

Keith looked to the Frisbee in Madeline's hands and a smirk formed on Keith's lips. "Hey, that's cool, Maddie. I bet Sam would like to play with that Frisbee. All you got to do is throw it and he'll catch it."

Madeline nodded and she looked over to Sam. "Come here, Sam." Madeline said.

Keith smirked and watched his sister and the happy dog play with one another. Madeline threw the Frisbee for the dog and he went to catch it. Sam caught it in midair the first time and Madeline said, "Okay, bring it back, boy." She had her hand out to accept the Frisbee while Keith watched her play with the dog.

She threw the Frisbee again, but this time it went further. Sam couldn't catch it in midair and instead he retrieved it from the edge of camp. The dog grabbed it and went back to Madeline. Sam released the Frisbee and barked with his tongue sticking out. Keith knew that both his little sister and the dog were having fun.

"You must miss doing this." Madeline said. Her smile disappeared and she said, "I know I do."

Keith frowned. He knew what she meant, and he missed those days too. They were both just two kids having fun, and then the world around them went into disaster. Keith went over to help Clementine as he noticed the Frisbee fly off again.

"So have we found anything?" Keith asked.

"Nothing." Clementine said. "This place is picked clean." She looked over Keith's shoulder and said, "I always thought that siblings didn't get along. You and your sister are very close."

"Yeah, it's always been that way. We were always very close. I mean, Maddie had friends when she was four and five, but then… something happened." Keith said with a frown. He looked down with a saddened stare and he started to rub the back of his neck.

"What happened?" Clementine asked.

"She…" Keith said but he stopped himself upon hearing the light taps of Madeline's footsteps from behind.

"Keith… I… I need help." Madeline said.

"What's wrong?" Keith asked.

Suddenly, Sam started barking and growling. It was quite loud which made Keith and Clementine tense up. The noise of the dog's barking would draw walkers.

Madeline turned to the two older children and said, "There's a lurker tied to a tree."

To be continued.

A/N: Well then, this is the first of Son of a Tyrant Rewritten. As we can see, Keith now has a little sister and a deceased older sister.
