One hand holds a blade; the other holds the heart of Davy Jones. The blade comes down, piercing the heart and leaving a shallow stab wound in the hand grasping it. Those still human flee onto the Black Pearl as the Flying Dutchman sinks completely into the whirlpool. Beckett's ship comes up alongside the Black Pearl and readies its cannons to fire when the Flying Dutchman reemerges from the sea, to Beckett's complete surprise; it opens fire on him and his ship. With each sound of cannon fire from the Flying Dutchman, parts of it breakaway, eventually revealing a pristine and magnificent ship beneath. As the remains of Beckett's ship sinks, the new Captain of the Flying Dutchman walks onto the decks, calling Bootstrap Bill to him.
"You have a choice; to stay on this ship for as long as you wish or to have your freedom now," The Captain says.
Bootstrap's gaze
shifts between the Captain and the Black Pearl, "I'd like to have
me freedom back."
The Captain nods his head before snapping his
fingers and all of the sea life clinging to Bootstrap fall of and
some of his youth is restored to him, "You'd best be gettin' on
the Pearl then."
Bootstrap climbs over the railings and is
helped onto the deck of the Pearl, he turns back to the Captain and
give him a slight smile. The Captain smiles back before telling his
crew to get ready to dive. As the Flying Dutchman goes under, the
Captain waves goodbye as he begins his new life as its captain.
