A/N- Hey guys this is my first Bones fic hope you like it

'Hey Booth' Bones flashed me a smile as she wielded a blade over one of her old skeletons. 'What are you doing' I asked not out of actual curiosity but concern; the knife was huge. 'Looking for evidence of malnutrition in this 4th century Mesopotamian slave' I slightly regretted asking. 'Yes but the knife, can't one of the Squinterns do it'. She shook her head proceeded to saw the bone in half, my instincts screaming to snatch the massive knife off the pregnant woman. 'Wendell is at home visiting his family and besides I do this for pleasure' she put down the blade and brushed off her hands. 'I'm getting a new intern today, her record is quite adequate' she handed me a sheet of paper. 'Bones there's like a thousand awards here' she shrugged and started sifting through a pile of documents. 'That isn't any indication of how she works' I shook my head. 'Do you even know her name?'

'Actually I do, she's the granddaughter of a famous anthropologist; Verity Reichs'. I stifled a giggle and nodded my head like I knew who the heck she was talking about 'oh yeah the Reichs Family'. I glanced at her with concern.

'Are you ok?' this was the first new grad student since Vincent and with her pregnancy. 'Yes why shouldn't I be?' I didn't even bother to answer her and she changed the subject. 'How's Parker' I was a little surprised at Bones consideration, it showed. 'He's your son Booth and the brother of my child' she rubbed her hand gently against the small curve of her stomach. I chuckled 'true, he's fine Rebecca's going to Paris for Christmas with her boyfriend, so I have him for Christmas'

'Saturnalia, Booth it's-

-a pagan roman festival Bones you say it every year' she shrugged

'Even if the theory behind religion was sound, Christmas would be in JULY'

I sighed; arguing with Temperance was tricky 'we'll celebrate in July too better?' Bones nodded and pulled out a file with some random symbols on it and scribbled down notes on a page. 'So how's the baby?' I bent down and kissed her stomach. 'Well she kicked a few days ago' I gasped.

'Why didn't you tell me' I was appalled, I missed my own baby's first kick! She shrugged 'it didn't seem important' I stared incredulously at her.

'Bones; it's the first movement of your CHILD, our child. And you don't even bother to tell me!' she exhaled.

'All right Booth I'm sorry, I promise I'll call you next time' and then she scribbled down some more writing on her paper. Good. 'I've been thinking of baby names, just hear me out;

Alexia'

-that means blindness Booth, that's insensitive to Angela'

'Kennedy?'

-misshapen helmet head'

'What? Suri!'

-pig in Punjabi, pointy nose in Indian and pickpocket in Japanese'.

'Fine what do you suggest' I sighed, she could be so exasperating. She hummed thoughtfully for a moment. 'Christine'. My brow creased

'Doesn't that mean Christian?'

'I thought your completely non existent beliefs were important to you' I gave her a look. 'It was my mother name' oh. I opened my mouth to apologise but then I heard a young voice.

'Excuse me I'm looking for Doctor Brennan' a young girl in a lab coat of about twelve or so had appeared outside the security detectors. I figured she was one of the students taking the Teens Science Course. 'I'm Dr. Brennan' Bones raised her hand and the girl smiled and zapped her ID. For some reason the detectors cleared her. 'What are you doing here' I asked, children weren't allowed in the lab.

'My name is Verity Reichs, I'm Doctor Brennan's new grad student'.
