Jim stood again on the roof, the nights blurring into each other. The Batman hadn't been seen in almost two weeks, the now Commissioner was beginning to worry about his partner. A rustle of fabric caught in a sudden breeze found his ear. Jim was startled as he watched the Batman fly down to his side.

"I heard you coming." The commissioner narrowed his eyes. "I never hear you coming."

"Sorry, I've been out of the country."

"The Chinese banker? He was dropped off this morning." Jim saw the bat nod, and he but both ignored the movement. "How's the wound?"

"Still aches."

"But it's been two weeks?" The bat could tell Gordon was concerned.

"Joker used a poisoned blade, this particular suit is made for long distance gun shot not knives."

"So you have more than one suit?"

"Depends who I'm going up against. I may need to invest in a fire resistant one next since the Joker seems to like setting me on fire."

"You say that, he may try to freeze you next."

"I was trained in the cold." The bat noticed Gordon's eyebrow rise, clearly neither were expecting to learn anything tonight. "I'll be fine, I usually am."

"You're still wearing a bat costume." The Commissioner pointed out.

"Well physically at least." The Batman shot a grappling gun to one of the other rooftops abs was gone into the night. Jim chuckled as he yelled after the bat.

"That's the first time you've nearly admitted to having a problem." The Commissioner could almost hear the Batman's sarcastic comment as if he was still beside him. 'Well then it's your problem.'
