Prompt #7

Leaning against the counter, Sakura stared at Gaara.
She had done everything she could think of to get his attention.
He had come home with a pile of scrolls and was entirely too tense. Judging by his mumbling and cursing, there had been a meeting with the elders that did not go well.
She knew when he got like this, there was really only one way to get him to relax...but he wasn't taking the bait.

She had quickly thrown together one of his favorite meals and set it down on the scroll he was reading. He muttered a quiet "thank you" and moved it aside...it was still sitting untouched next to him.

She had tried to have a conversation with him, to get his mind off work for two seconds. But after she only got "Hns" and nods, she found the conversation entirely too one sided.

She had wrapped her arms around his neck, gently nibbling on his earlobe as he read. She heard the telltale rumble in his chest, only to have him pull away and say ""Later, Sakura. I have a lot of work to do."

She was at a loss. Nothing was working.

Drumming her fingers on the counter-top, she weighed her options. She could either watch him simmer all night, or she could do something drastic to salvage what was left of her evening.
Chewing on her bottom lip, she chose her path. It was a bold move, but it would definitely get his attention...

Walking over to the table, she grabbed the glass of water that was sitting next to him. His eyes watched her from the side then widened as he turned to stare at her.

Taking a sip of water then putting the glass back down, she gently ran her fingers through his hair then walked to their bedroom.

The sound of the chair sliding on the ground signaled that he wasn't far behind her.

Rolling her eyes she thought, all it took was taking my clothes off...He can really be oblivious sometimes.
