There was a weird chill in the air the day Ollivander and Luna arrived at Malfoy Manor. I was ordering Tipsy the house elf to sweep the dungeons when my aunt Bellatrix and Fenrir Greyback Apparated right in front of me.
"Draco, Greyback, watch the Lovegood ditz while we torture the wandmaker," Bellatrix ordered casually. "Oh, and play nicely, boys, she seems fragile." With that, she winked and left.
Greyback smiled maliciously and made a noise that I didn't know to be a growl or a laugh.
"You want some of her, or can I?" he asked. Loony's eyes widened more than I thought they possibly could.
"Go ahead," I replied. I couldn't rape Luna. She was some crazy, unattractive Ravenclaw.
Fenrir seemed very pleased by my answer. He reached for Lovegood and unbuttoned her pants. She let out a whimper and her eyes filled with tears. I didn't know Loony Lovegood was capable of crying.
As I saw her struggle, she looked so tiny and vulnerable – maybe even beautiful – I couldn't watch him assault her.
"Never mind," I said. It came out louder than I expected.
Greyback, clearly already aroused, looked at me, sneering.
"What are you saying, Malfoy?"
"I'm saying, I want to do it." My voice shook, no matter how hard I tried to keep it steady.
Fenrir cursed under his breath and strutted upstairs.
Luna backed away from me, shaking with fear. She tripped and fell backwards as I got closer.
"I'm not going to rape you, Lovegood."
She didn't stop quivering with fear yet.
"What are you, a little girl?" I scoffed. Well, she's only 16 and was just taken from her home, I thought. But I needed to make sure she thought I was a jerk still. "Pathetic," I added.
"Th-thank you, Draco," Luna breathed.
It was weird being called by my first name by someone outside of my family.
"Well, I wanted to save him from the disgusting situation he was getting himself into," I lied.
"Well," Lovegood began shakily, "you saved me as well."
She stood up and kissed me on the cheek.
I felt the place where she kissed me. It felt as if she sent a wave of electricity into my face.
Rubbish, I quickly though, removing my hand from my face.
Then, as if Loony couldn't get any weirder, she began to hum to herself. She was in a cold dungeon with the Slytherin king and she was humming and spinning around.
"What are you doing?" I asked as her volume increased. "Shh, I'm supposed to be hurting you, remember?"
"Sorry," she apologized. I could tell she was sorry; she looked like she just kissed Voldemort.
Then, she went back to shivering.
"It's so cold," Loony Lovegood claimed.
I had goose bumps as well. I considered getting her a blanket, but shook the thought. "I noticed," I responded rudely.
I looked away for a few moments, and then looked back at Luna. She was crying.
I sighed. "What's wrong?"
She sniffled. "I just want to see my daddy, she answered innocently.
I didn't know what to do.
I hugged her.
I knew it wasn't something Draco Malfoy should do, but…
Who was Draco Malfoy? Was he just Lucius Malfoy's boy, and nothing more?
No, I thought. Not anymore.
I was done.
