The blood streamed down her wrists like a flood, a flood that would stop; her skin a broken dam. And another dam burst at that moment as she caught a sight of her reflection in the broken mirror, her arms to numb, her heart to numb for her to wipe away the tears. She shakily set herself down on the floor, letting the blood run down onto the white linoleum bathroom floor. She choked out a strangled sob. She understood. The knife fell down from the edge of the sink where she set it and, through her tears, the corners of her mouth upturned into a small smile. The pain was soothing. It was helping to numb her mind and stop the thoughts that never left. She closed her eyes.

A shaking hand ghosted over her face and wet tear drops fell onto her face. She opened her eyes. The girl in front of her looked like she'd been crying for hours and seemingly hadn't slept in weeks.

"R-Rin… I-I,"

"No excuses, Miku. I can't deal with you anymore. All I do is worry," the crying girl stated. Rin left. She fled hastily from the scene like a criminal. Miku looked down at her blood-drenched hands and the blood stained floor. She broken. She forced herself to her feet, her blood loss draining energy form her. She was like a vampire, the lack of blood killing her. She was doomed anyway, so she didn't care. She dragged herself out of the bathroom and along the corridor, a few drops of blood dripping from the almost-healed, self-inflicted wounds. The next thing she knew she was stood on the ledge of her window, looking down, her messy teal hair blowing wildly in the breeze like the leaves on trees. And just like a leaf, Miku was fragile. Miku wanted to be stronger, but breakable like the solid branches. Miku craved the feeling of strength; she wished she was tough, almost unbreakable, just like the trunk of the tree. But she wasn't. She stepped one foot off, but brought it back again, the midnight breeze sending a chill down her spine. She stepped out again, one foot, followed by the other. She was falling, falling faster than she'd imagined, faster than she had for Rin. She hit the ground, the impact knocking her senseless. The cars drove around her, avoiding her like a disease. Onlookers stopped to see what had happened, but turned away in a mix of humour and disgust. Even a younger, twisted girl stood there, a smirk playing at her lips, a gun in her hand, loaded and ready to fire. The gun was held gently, almost fearfully to the blonde's head.

"I always knew we were cowards, Miku…"
