On the twelfth day of Sanctuary my true love (Tesla) gave to me-

Only one vampire shield

Two Magnuses (Magnae?) in history

Three magic sisters

Four opportunities to shoot Adam

Five brilliant minds

Six superabnormals

Seven cheesy songs

Eight Kush plane passengers

Nine bank hostages

Ten Season 3.0 episodes

Eleven months of ordinary HAP pregnancy

Twelve baby nubbins

Twas the night before Christmas

And all through the Sanctuary

Many creatures were stirring

Like the invisible reptilian Brazilian mouse.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care

In hopes that Nikola wouldn`t be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds

All the day`s lists and duties still stuck in their heads.

Henry considered he hated his chores

So much that he`d rather be out on the moors.

But then he`d miss Christmas, so happy and mild

And the look on the face of his soon-to-be child.

And Kate was curled up with her darling Herusan

Who`d bought her a gun via catalogue perusing.

His arms were wrapped round her, he made her feel special,

She was pround to consider herself Hollowsexual.

But Magnus, whose rep had taken a bad rap,

Had just settled down for a two hour nap.

Her papers were strewn by her bed with no care,

And she lay all alone in the crisp Christmas air.

When suddenly, she heard a beeping beside her,

"The perimeter`s breached by some sneaky outsider!"

And though the time read "Christmas Morn, 2 o`clock",

She ran to the roof as she drew out her Glock.

Upon reaching the roof, which looked over the town,

She felt her face settling into a frown.

For resting up here was the usual thing

Just eight or so white pigeons flapping their wings.

Now Helen decided it wasn`t a threat,

And decided to ponder the thing while she slept.

But when passing her office to go to her bed

She saw in he room a figure`s dark head.

She loaded her gun with a small silent click

And crept to the door so she`d aim at it quick

But upon close inspection she felt rather sick

For she knew in a flash that it must be "Saint" Nik.

He was crouched `side the fire with an embroidered bag

On his shoulder, from which he withdrew several items

His hair- how it stood up! His fangs- how they glistened!

His belly far too small for any fat inside him.

Helen shot and lodged a bullet inside him

And he yelped and turned round to observe with a snide grin.

"How`d you get past the shield there since November?"

she asked, and he simply said "Genius, remember?"

So she sighed and asked "Nikola, what are you doing?

Shouldn`t you be in your own misery stewing?

Working to end the problems of the world

And trying to impress that hot redheaded girl?"

He rolled his grey eyes replying "Helen, you see.

I figured you`d be here alone missing me.

So I brought you some wine and a couple of gifts

Some things to make you forget those pesky kids.

He handed her a package, very indiscreetly

And she hesitantly unwrapped it in her style; rather neatly.

As she gazed at a pic from the days of the Five.

Memories of her friend made her heart come alive

Then he said "that`s not all!" and pulled out the other

From the bag that had been made for him by his mother.

Inside was a necklace, of pure finest gold.

She smiled saying "God, Niko, that`s rather bold!"

He looked very sheepish, like a schoolboy caught wronging

"I know I have bad OCD, but the longing

To please you was just too much for me to bear

I do love you Helen, and I really do care."

A tear left her eye, a very rare sight.

She told him "You know how to make things just right.

I must tell you that you are doing just fine

Now let`s pour ourselves a glass of that rare wine.

So snuggling on the couch, crystal goblets in hands

She said "This will not get you in my pants,

But it was a good try, and Niko, if I might?

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night."
