Sneaky Miu
Kanata's eyebrow rose when he saw the hotdogs that he had left on the table. He clearly remembered that he put five hotdogs in there. He counted, recounted, and recounted again. He sighed and turned to his daughter who was innocently standing beside him. "Miu.."
The little girl looked at him, trying her very best to hide her obviously plump cheeks as she slowly tried to chew without him noticing. "Yes papa?"
"I put five hotdogs in here."
"Hmmm?" the innocent looks on her saying were clearly saying that she doesn't know what he was talking about, or atleast pretending that doesn't know anything.
"I wonder why there is only four now."
"Oh!" his 4 year old daughter put her little hands on her mouth, Kanata noticed that she gulp the mysterious thing on her mouth as she did so, while acting to be completely shock. Kanata refrain himself from smiling. "Who would take the hotdog, papa?" his cute little daughter actually had the nerve to ask him.
"I dunno." He shrugged. "Do you know who took it?"
"Uh-huh.." she violently shook her head. "But I think mama ate it."
Kanata grinned, it was true that his wife Miyu has the habit on stealing foods he cooked (now, he had no doubt why his daughter has the same manner) but he highly doubt that she was the culprit. "But, your mama is in the living room."
"Well, papa. Mama is very sneaky! I always saw her eating the foods here in the table. It was no doubt that mama was the one who ate it!" she defended.
Kanata grinned. It is true that their daughter looked a lot like him, but unfortunately, she got her attitude on her mother.
He sighed again and ruffled his daughter's hair. Deciding to let her go. "Okay, so we have to guard this hotdog well so mama can't steal again, okay?"
Miu smiled brightly and nodded. Relieved that her papa was not suspecting her anymore.
A/N. oh, hi there! :D hahahaha! Have you guys noticed that I am seriously posting a super short one shot while I have left my other stories to rot? Don't worry! I'm not planning on abandoning them, hihi, I was just, uh, you know? I have this stupid, annoying writer's block that was hindering me to write a chapter. This scene just suddenly popped on my head out while reading a series of one shots of Rurouni Kenshin.
