War… War never changes.
Hello guys well I certainly didn't post a story OR chapter in a million years, yeah well im not dead, and I have recently fallen in love with this amazing game called Fallout. So I made a story/history lesson about it and plus I was bored and like "Eh, f*** it." Anyway enjoy.

Prologue: A world before war.

Ever since humanity learned how to annihilate itself in World War 2 by dropping the Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki the world has taken a different turn. Introducing Fallout, an RPG that tells the story of a world devastated by a nuclear war still recovering from the ashes of its ancestors. This is a story we will be discussing today, the future of our world! But how can we talk about the future if we don't start with the past? Let's begin.
The beginning of fallout starts out as normal history up to 1945 FYI. However we will be beginning at 1947.
The cold war has just ended and things have changed right after. The Soviet Union has in fact grown weaker than it is now, China taking its place, giving the U.S a new enemy to play with. Technology has grown! Thanks to America, we now have the Mr. Handy Robot, Pip-Boy ETC. But of course these things have to be powered by something, Oil is used to fuel the technology (other than the pip-boy) and is torn out from every corner of the world America can find, even going as far as to invading nearby allies for oil, flipping out when resources disappeared and left the earth dry.
No, no, no ah there it is.

U.S blames its neighbor Mexico for weakening the border, so the U.S placed sanctions on the border (AKA walls, yes it happened) and Mexico fell apart because of the insane political instability. The U.S invaded Mexico in order for a constant supply of oil between both nations. But they still lost a f*** ton of oil leaving the earth dryer than ever. So of course this would cause global outrage as countries kept their remaining oil to themselves. Because of this the European commonwealth sent troops to the middle-east. Because of that the Resource Wars began. The Middle East nations and Europe would constantly attack each other for the oil in the area, 8 years later they are dry. Middle East cities are nuked making America to fear the chances of a nuclear war. Project safe house AKA Vault Tec was created, its mission was to protect nearby citizens from a nuclear attack. Meanwhile Europe has lost all oil contact in their region and it begins to fall apart due to a civil war, leaving Alaska's wells of oil remaining intact, soon becoming the last place on Earth yes, Earth to get oil making it a target to the republic of china. America immediately saw that Alaska was in danger and sent troops to defend it from the Chinese.

China sends an invasion force to Alaska, cracking open the Sino-American war, the war that starts the series we love and know today. After 10 years of fighting, the U.S grabs the best minds they can to dedicate it to new machine and weaponry. Out came robots for war and the oh so famous power armor that destroyed the Chinese forces. But even if the U.S had these weapons the war would still go on for a decade. Canada is forced to let the U.S troops invade its land, leaving the alliance between them not the best. But as the war grew worse in 2076 the U.S officially made Canada apart of its nation. In an attempt to drive Chinese soldiers from Alaska, the U.S sent troops to mainland China and attacked it with the soldiers wearing power armor, the idea was to cause enough damage to home the Chinese would need to leave the Alaskan front, and it worked! The soldiers retreated back to Asia, and reclaimed Alaska in 2077.

The war has ended and countless lives were lost which lead to the American victory BUT…

2077, October, 23rd marks the beginning of The Great War which lasted 2 hours because the bombs hit EVERYWHERE across the world, water became dangerous to drink due to it having radiation inside of it, the environment became dangerous to even walk on due to the high amount of radiation it also held, and barely anything survived at all. Marking the day the Pre-war ended. However people did survive, out in the wasteland or in a vault, but we'll talk about this another day… Tomorrow, my hands are fuckin tired.

Also one more thing, I probably won't update again for a while so if this story is a year old it's either because I'm dead, I've given up on writing entirely or I'm working on something new.
