"Stay away from my girlfriend!" Patrick yelled.
Kat froze momentarily. Had she heard that correctly? Patrick called her his girlfriend. Wow. She hadn't ever expected him to willingly label their relationship.
He talked to her about how he felt. Well, in a way, at least. He admitted that he disliked the idea of her dating someone else. Two big steps in one evening, that's simply incredible.
She pulled away from their kiss. "So," she said teasingly, "I'm your girlfriend now?"
"Yeah," Patrick responded leaning in to kiss her again.
Kat pushed him away slightly. "Good to know," she said allowing him a quick kiss before pulling back again. "But you should know this: pick a fight over me again and I'll deck you myself!"
