Sakura Blossoms

"Thats my powder!" cried Kagome. "Little babys like you can ever be pretty and can't have make-up!" yelled Kagom's older cosin Chinatsu as she walked away with her the little girl's tresure with her. Kagome powted as she fell on her bottom as fresh tiny tears began to fall. An older woman that's beauty was faded with age scooped up Kagome and craddled her in her arms. "Kagome, what is wrong?" asked the woman. Kagome coughed a few times before she could speak, "Chinatsu said that I could never be pretty and can not have make-up to make me pretty." "Why now, that is not true," said the woman. Kagome hiccuped a bit as the tears began to cease. "It is not?" she asked. "Why of course!", said the woman with a smile. "Have I ever told you the story of the Sakura Blssoms?"she asked. Kagome shook her head."Well, I will tell you then."

The woman took a seat and sat little Kagomeo her lap as she began...

"There once was a pulchritudinas, ravishing, gorgeous sakura tree that could make any girl beautiful, " she said. "Even with no makeup?" asked Kagome." Even with no makeup," she said with a smile. Kagome giggled. The woman went on; "There was a plain looking girl dressed in ragges walking past a beautiful sakura tree. She watched in awe as its soft pink petals glided ever so gently in the wind off of the tree. She walked under the tree and instantly the girl began to change. The girl's hair became so soft and smooth it looked rich onyx silk. Her skin became so clean, pale, and pure like the moon. Her eyes became so transparent and clear that the blue in her eyes almost looked white. The girl's clothes became a gorgeous light pink kimono, just like the blossoms. She truely looked like a beautiful sakura blossom." said the woman.

Kagome's eyes grew big with overwelming joy and excitement. "Can it really do that grandma? Show me the tree! " begged Kagome. The grandmother smiled and pointed to their spring sakura tree. Kagome pulled her grandmother's old hand with her tiny hand as they ran under the sakura tree. Instantly Kagome began to change. Kagome looked older and more mature, like a true woman. Yet, the grandmother looked the same. They both stepped out from under the tree's beauty. Kagome went back to normal."Why did you not change grandma?"asked Kagome.

"Because I already know what my beauty is and now so do you. You see Kagome, the tree's power shows you your true beauty from within. The beauty inside of you," she said. "Oh, I get it . So I will always be beautiful?" Kagome asked."Yes, Kagome, you will always be beautiful."Even with no makeup?" she asked. "Even without any makeup," her grandmother said.
