Every single day, Naruto gave Sasuke his customary 'Good Morning' grin. Every single day. If anyone were to ask about it, Sasuke would always answer "It's nothing special. He smiles at me. Whoo-hoo.", but, to the Uchiha, the smile represented determination. Naruto always smiled, no matter what life threw at him. And life sure had a good throwing arm.
One day, Naruto came in. He wasn't wearing his usual long sleeved shirt, and Sasuke's jaw dropped when he saw the blonde's condition. Ugly, black bruises and long, nasty cuts covered his tanned arms. Plasters covered most of his hands. The raven haired boy's eyes trailed up, noticing the cuts and bruises on the blonde's neck for the first time. And when Sasuke's eyes made their way to Naruto's face, he gasped.
An Uchiha, an almighty emotionless one, gasped.
Naruto was crying. Sobbing, tears streaming down the younger's face like mini-waterfalls. But he was still smiling. Sasuke just stood there, watching him. Even though the boy was hurt, even though his pride and ego had probably taken massive hits, he was still smiling. At Sasuke, no less.
"D- Naruto, what- I- How?" Sasuke breathed, unable to form a coherent sentence. He stepped closer to Naruto, attempting to brush off the tears, but Naruto stepped back, shaking his head. The blonde's smile had fallen. Instead, he held a shred of multi-coloured ribbon, which the older assumed to have been in one piece before Naruto was attacked. Only two words adorned it.
GAY PRIDE
Having read those two words, everything made sense. Naruto must've been wearing this ribbon on him this morning, probably on his arms, considering the cuts, and got jumped. Sasuke's heart strings panged. In an instant, his arms were around Naruto's shoulders, allowing the blonde to sob. Sasuke started muttering under his breath, and the distraught blonde only caught three words.
"… they will pay." The smile reappeared on Naruto's face, and there it was to stay.

A/N: Whoo-hoo! My first peice of SasuNaru! And, probably, my last, 'cause I hate SasuNaru (NaruSasu FTW!), but I really couldn't see Sasuke wearing 'Gay Pride' ribbons.
