Happiness

Author's Notes: It's been a whole century of being dormant. ;; But I'm back, and I'm hoping that I can write more stuff in the next few months. And oh yes, I've deleted my past works so...I guess I'm about to start a new life as an author. :3
Disclaimer: Saiyuki is not mine, deal with it. It's not yours too, not unless you're Minekura Kazuya. Oo;;

He rested his arms on the bridge railing. The night seemed to be perfect, with the moon's beautiful features reflecting on the clear waters of the river, the peaceful and romantic streets and everything else. The cool breeze blew, tickling the chocolate-haired boy's sensitive skin. He was alone on such a lovely night.
Every night time, Goku would go and visit the nearby river, admire it...all by himself. At times, he'd talk to himself, murmuring things about being by himself all the time, and missing something in his life...or possibly someone.
No matter how much he tried not to be bothered about it, he had always ended up failing. It made such an impact on him that he couldn't forget how stupid he was for letting everything go...
...he let go of the moments where he could've been with the one person he longed to be with. He loved the person, so much that it hurt him everytime he failed to tell the person how much he means to him. Goku had to blame himself for it every time. For being so weak, he hated himself for it.
He knew his special someone cared. His sun, he had always worried about Goku, and Goku was aware of that. But the child was afraid...what if he couldn't return the same feelings?
Goku had flatly turned down his sun's offer when he was asked if he still wanted to stay. He had been frightened. Scared that he might do something wrong, that would probably cause their relationship to falter completely. He was playing safe, and now it had left him scarred. He had that perfect moment to have said yes, but he backed away, thinking that it would do the both of them better.
...but there were times when Goku was wrong. Unfortunately, this was one of those times.
I wonder what Sanzo's doing right now, he thought, he's probably living a normal life, and perhaps, he had forgotten about me completely. Although it has pained him to think about it, he couldn't help but imagine how his sun's life is like without him in it. Although it still hurt him whenever he dreamed to be with his sun once more, he still thought of this as something that will make his sun happier and more contented with his life.
But even if he felt that the other was happy, he still couldn't find the joy in this life without his sun. Somehow, it came to Goku's mind if he himself had really loved just to find happiness in it.
...maybe he was. And he's still searching for that happiness...even up to now.
