The sun had just begun to rise over the horizon. The warm rays broke the night air. The bright light crept through the open window, seeping through the thin curtains. The rays swept across the floor toward the large bed, sweeping across the white sheets.
The sun swept across the sheets, over the couple occupying the bed. The warmth tickled over the exposed back of the young woman. Her left hand lay tucked beneath her head, her right hand lay on the sheets that covered her. She took a deep breath feeling the warmth of the sun. She lifted her head from her pillow only to lay her head back down. Her blonde hair fell over her face, but she made no move to brush it from her face.
A soft touch brushed across her face, sweeping her hair behind her ear. Sophie opened her eyes. She smiled.
"Good morning." Charlie smiled. His hand remained on her face, running down her chin.
"Morning." Sophie said.
"So remind me why we asked for a view of the sunrise in our room." Charlie asked.
Sophie arched one of her slender eyebrows. "You don't like the sunrise?"
"On the contrary, I enjoy seeing the sun rise." Charlie answered. He moved closer to Sophie. "However, I would have much rather enjoy the feeling of my wife asleep in my arms for a little longer."
Sophie smiled. She pushed herself off the bed and gently laid her head on Charlie's chest, filling the gap between them. Charlie's arm wrapped around her shoulders. He ran his fingers through her hair.
"Is this better?" Sophie asked.
"Much." Charlie replied. His left hand still on Sohpie's chin. He leaned down, kissing her gently.
