"Nani?!"

"Gomensensia…"

"Temari…I'm not ready to take a student. I don't think I can." The red headed Kazekage paced back and forth in front of his blond sister. She had her arms crossed and was staring intently at her younger sibling. He stopped, facing the wall that was behind him.

"No one else will take her," She stated. He groaned and banged his head on the wall. "I know you don't want to but she needs to be trained." she hesitated. "It's your duty as Kazekage, Gaara. To help your people." She finished. He grunted, and then nodded.

"Bring her in, Temari." She grinned, nodded, and left. He sat down, facing the wall, and waited.

'Will I be able to train her?' He failed to notice the petite brunette enter the room and sit down next to him. 'What's taking her so long?' He turned and came face to face with chocolate orbs. He reeled back in surprise. The girl had short brown hair and was wearing all black.

"Gaara?" Her voice was sweet but dull. He nodded.

"Who are you?"

"Wouldn't you like to know." She said monotonously.

"Why are you here?" He asked her.

"Depends on who I'm talking to." She smirked. He grunted in annoyance.

"I'm your teacher, your mentor in the art of Shinobi." Her eyes widened slightly and she shifted uncomfortably.

"Oh…uh, sorry sensei." He nodded.

"What's your name? You already know mine."

"…Matsuri." He nodded again in response.

"Well then… come on Matsuri, it's time to begin your training. Her eyes brightened and she got up excitedly and followed him out the door.

Present Day

"Matsuri, the Kazekage requests your presence." The Brunette looked up at the messenger.

"Mokino-sama, seriously, you shouldn't let your girlfriend cut your hair." He smirked and nodded.

"But really, Gaara is expecting you." She nodded and got up. She set a pace for the Kazekage's office, letting her mind wander. What did Gaara-sama want that was so urgent? She hadn't been on a mission in weeks. Either way she was running late. She picked up her pace. She entered the Kazekage's building and knocked. A faint 'come in' was heard. She gently opened the door and walked to the desk that was so covered in papers you couldn't see the person behind them.

"Uh…Gaara-sama?" She asked the pile of papers. An annoyed grunt was heard. She giggled softly and walked behind the desk to see Gaara resting his head on his arms on his desk. She tapped him on his shoulder. He sat up and stared at her with tired eyes.

"Oh, hey Matsuri…we have a mission." She nodded. He handed her the mission report.

"We are going to Konoha? For a Vacation?! With this much paperwork Gaara?" he nodded.

"Yeah. Temari and Kankuro are going to look after Suna for about a month, ok?" She shrugged and nodded.

"Whatever." He rolled his eyes.

"Go get ready, we leave when you are." She smirked. She pulled the bag off her back and set it down next to her she leaned against the door frame.

"Done." He chuckled.

"Alright then lets go."
