As I begin at this new school,
I once again feel rather small.
For the second time in my short years,
I've been advised to tread with fear.
.
Although a kind man sits as head,
Here another inspires dread.
The students are all quick to scarper,
From the fearsome Potions Master.
.
Although my classmates terror shows,
I've fought and beaten greater foes.
And though my peers will think me mad,
I think; perhaps he's not so bad.
.
His scathing quips may make kids quake,
But he'd never give them chocolate cake,
And force-feed them the whole great plate,
He isn't spiteful; more irate.
.
And though he has a thunderous glare
He'd never lift them by their hair
And fling them high across a fence
He isn't vicious; simply tense.
.
He'll gladly make them sit detention,
But never stand at straight attention,
Trapped within a cupboard tight,
With jagged walls devoid of light.
.
They criticise his style of dress,
His fashion sense is not the best.
But next to Trunchbulls bulging calves,
His sweeping robes look rather smart.
.
And as others laugh about his hair,
I notice that while harsh; he's fair.
And though he's prone to shout and yell,
He truly wants us to do well.
.
His angry words may be sharp and burning,
But he clearly has respect for learning.
And though few would count themselves his fans,
I find that I quite like this man.
Please review and let me know what you think.
I'm thinking of doing a full crossover of Matilda at Hogwarts (Probably in Luna's class) which may or may not develop into a Snape / Miss Honey pairing, would anyone be interested in reading that?
