In fact, thought Pinkie, that's what I'll do for all my best friends when their numbers come up! She was so excited, she skipped right over to the body with her skinner to get started. The cupcakes could wait; Pinkie Pie had a friend to make.
Pinkie Pie awoke with a jolt, and tears began to pour down her cheeks. The dream had been reoccurring, where she baked one of many ponies in town into cupcakes. While it sickened her already, this one had been the worst. She could never hurt the cyan-colored, rainbow-maned mare no matter what happened. That was what she told herself now, as she crawled silently out of her bed, creeping past the room Pound and Pumpkin Cake shared. She walked through Sugarcube Corner and stepped out the door, a cool breeze blowing through her mane as she tied balloons around herself, the normal way she used to get to Rainbow Dash's house. She floated toward the cloudominium, and immediately pounded on the door. Rainbow Dash groggily opened the door, a look of confusion on her face.
"Pinkie, why are you here?" Rainbow Dash asked her friend. "It's three-in-the-morning and I have Wonderbolt's practice at eight."
"I'm sorry, Dashie." Pinkie Pie sobbed, wrapping Rainbow Dash in a tight hug. "I just had to make sure you were still in one piece."
