end-up showing up somewhere in this fic at sometime, and it will be the character from the
first Lesson of Love, I suggest you read at least the beginning and end of that one, but it
won't be necessary, I'll summarize what happens...And that means Daisuke, Hikari, and Takeru are
all 13...Oh and because of the stupid chaptering thing now...you'll have to contiuly check back
at this one or put me on alert to know when the next ones posted

Lessons of Love: Finding Your Own Strength
Chapter 1

"You're right." I forced that goofy grin, yes, the one, I Motomiya Daisuke, have become
well known for. Not that I enjoyed being known as the obnoxious, girl-crazy,
goggle-headed bufoon that everyone knows me as...its....its just the easiest way
for me to fit in. Nervously scratching my dark-chocolate hair that rested beneath
my goggles...Gosh, what I wouldn't give for some candy right now. Stop! Daisuke, get it
back together...Remember Hikari...My dark eyes rested upon the most gorgeous of
all girls in the universe, Yagami Hikari, but she didn't know that. Wait, yes,
she did know that-She didn't care, that's it. All this elegant young woman thought
I was, was an obnoxious, girl-crazy, goggle-headed bufoon. I wonder where she got that idea.

"There's other fish in the sea, right?" I laughed spitefully, a likewise
beet-red blush spreading across my cheeks.

Hikari's smile was so luminous, so, so, brilliant that it radiated directly from her heart. Yet, it
was equally sharp, that it cut straight through my heart. "Right, Daisuke, I'm glad to
see you're taking this so well."

My heart was crying tears of blood, which seeped through the very veins it was supposedly
being carried to, each drop pricking at every bone in my body, and she thought I was doing well?!

"Its not like you're my soul mate or anything, Hikari." I spoke untactful, that annoying repellent
giggle escaping my lips once again. I hated what I had become.

Hikari tilted her head sideways,
her short brunette hair flowing down to her cheeks as her lips lowered,
fading her smile just slightly.

"Hikari!" A voice boomed in from the distance, breaking her sheer beauty. I knew immediately who owned
it: A tall, golden-head boy, with eyes of cerulean...Takashi Takeru; the one who stole away my Hikari,
keeping her from longing for the love I had.

With the sound of Takeru's voice, Hikari's face seemed to illuminate with happiness, as her grin
spread across her dainty face. She spun around, her hand waving vigorously in the air as she called
out his name, beckoning him to join us. All the while, she gleamed with joy, and I could almost
sense her beauty grow, although it was hard to imagine her anymore beautiful than she was.
How I longed to be the one who made Hikari more beautiful; to make her glow like he could.
