bionicle MMO game idea
you pick what kind of matoran you want to be (fire, ice, water, earth, rock, air, light, sonic, Psionics, lightning, plant life, iron, gravity, magnetism). you are then able to customise the appearance of your matoran (change mask, change body colour within the allowed colours of your power type, change weapon). you spawn in mata nui, and are able to freely roam most of the island (arena, each mata, maybe a fishing and boat dynamic?) but some parts of the island are restricted to toa and turaga. to become a toa, a player would need to go on various quests, achieve various objectives and probably travel to the great temple on metru nui once they have found a toa stone to be transformed. the transformation would allow for a degree of customisation of your toa self (toa mata like body, toa nuva like body, toa metru like body, etc) but things like the mask you get are more or less closed to choice. toa are able to roam totally freely around the island without being restricted to the areas like the volcano or some other place, and are able to pick certain quests and mission by matoran to protect a mata/metru or to fight rahi. rahi would be AIs that roam the island. some would be friendly and could be tamed, some would be neutral, only attacking when provoked, and some would attack matoran, toa and villages. i don't know what the situation with keetongu would be, but he would be there. Maybe he would function like shrines do in Skyrim, healing illness and giving blessings and stuff. the player probably shouldn't be allowed to become a turaga as, in the story, they are little more than leaders and wise-dudes. that would probably be boring for the player.
light matoran would be picked at random. when setting up a character, a random selection of people would be given the option to be a light matoran. all the other dynamics in picking body colour and style would be the same, but the mask would always be gold, and the body armour must incorporate gold as a secondary colour.
so, fun idea, could very well work if i could ACTUALLY PROGRAM. FUCK.
