Even in a war, you have to have some happy, joyful cartoon to lighten up. Nico would not be the one you expected to look for something happy. However, there he was, walking toward the only room to relax in on the Argo II. The room included a TV, eight beanbags and a small tray for snacks. Nico turned the handle to the room but didn't excpect to find Leo propped up on a beanbag, eyes glued to the screen, and watching the cartoon "Phineas and Ferb".
"Um," Nico started, unsure of how to start his sentence. "What are you watching?"
"Phineas and Ferb," Leo responded, not looking away from the screen.
"Why?" Nico asked.
"Because they build stuff. Duh," Leo replied, finally looking to Nico to give him a 'Duh' look. Nico nodded and decided to try later.
When Nico tried later, he found his sister, Hazel instead, currently intrigued in "Steven Universe". Nico connected the dots quickly, being a child of Hades and all. Hazel was a fan of the Crystal Gems. Nico questioned if the gems had any connection to real gems and decided to ask. "Do the Crystal Gems even have similar traits to real gems?"
"Well, their color is similar," Hazel said, thinking some more. "Pearls are smooth and perfect like Pearl, who likes everything perfect. Amethysts are coarse and rough, like Amethyst's rebeliousness. And Garnets are a little mysterious, like Garnet. We didn't know she was a fusion until the Prison Break episode, but we had little hints to guess that she was indeed a fusion."
Nico looked at Hazel like she was insane. "What did you say?"
"Never mind, you wouldn't get it. You don't watch the..." Hazel started turning to Nico. She stopped when he saw he had already left.
Frank was in the beanbag this time, currently watching "Pokemon". Hearing that the door had opened, Frank turned and saw Nico's questioning face. "What?" he asked innocently. "There are a bunch of animals, like me." Nico turned and left.
Annabeth was more mature in here cartoon taste. If you can call "Gravity Falls" mature. Nico could see where she was coming from, with the show making you think and look at the background. A tactical person's dream. But the humor just didn't fit Annabeth. But Nico could tell she wasn't into the humor as much, for she didn't even notice Nico and was writing notes on a piece of paper. Nico left.
Piper was not as much watching a cartoon series as she was an animated film. "Beauty and the Beast" fit Piper's bill. With the message of inward beauty the film presented, it was not surprising Piper enjoyed it. Nico left with no questions asked.
Jason, on the other hand, sparked some questions with Nico. The 1940's "Superman" film series was the choice of cartoon for Jason. How did he get a 1940;s cartoon? Does Leo's disc player play some thing that old? Who gave it to him? Why? Well, the why was sort of obvious, but still. Nico decided he didn't want to know. Well, he did want to know that disc player question. He should ask Leo.
Percy was the weirdest of them all. You might be asking Nico, what cartoon would Percy like? Well there on a beanbag, was Percy. The TV screen currently displaying the image of the cartoon "Octonauts".
"What?" Percy asked much like Frank did earlier in the day. "I want to see if the sea creatures can communicate to me through the screen." Nico had enough at this point and decided to wait until after the war to watch his cartoon of choice. Though he couldn't wait to watch his Show. Its a shame "Gargoyles" stopped production in 1997. Nico really loved it and wished there were more seasons.
