Gray's P.O.V.

Well this was it. Lucy was going to go on a mission for 100,000 jewel. To be honest it wasn't that much, but it would be simple and she would be back soon. Natsu can't go because he got sick from a carriage. The Flame Brain can burn down a village but can't even ride a carriage without throwing up. I can't go because Erza needs me for a mission. I'm supposed to fill in for Natsu which I am not to happy about. I would rather be on that mission with Lucy.

"Gray are you okay? You're spacing out on me." A fiery red head said.

"Fine. We need to head out." I said.

"Great than lets go."

Lucy's P.O.V.:

Keys? Check.

Windows and doors locked? Check.

Partner? Well we might need to work on that.

"Man, I wish I had a partner instead of going by myself. Maybe someone down at the guild could help me!" I exclaimed.

I ran all the way to the guild hall to see that not a lot of people were there. There was Mira, Makarov, Wendy, Carla, and Happy.

"Where is everybody?" I asked.

"Everybody went out on missions. The board is pretty empty right now. You were lucky to have gotten a mission when you did." Carla said.

"Wow, no way! I need a partner, would any of you guys be willing to help?"

"I can't right now, Lucy. Natsu is really sick and I have to stay here to help him." Wendy said.

"I'm afraid that if Wendy isn't going to go then I'll just have to stay here." Carla said.

"We're sorry Luce." Wendy said looking kind of sad.

"I have an idea. I'll join you Luce!" Happy said.

Aww man I get the cat?

"Fine let's go." I said signaling him to walk with me.

"Yay!"

Gray's P.O.V.

The mission was to defeat this dark guild and release an imprisoned girl. The job wasn't that hard and we were done before sundown. Lucy was probably done with her mission by now. That means that I'll get to see her when we make it back to the guild hall. I want to congratulate her on finishing her mission.

"If I'm right we should be back in Magnolia before 8:00 p.m." Erza said staring at her map. Perfect. Erza had a few scratches but nothing too serious. I'm pretty sure Wendy could heal her without breaking a sweat.

"Come on. We need to get going." We said in unison.

Happy's P.O.V.

The mission was going great. Luce was fighting with all of her might (and spirits). The guys we were fighting weren't that strong and they ran away after Luce used Taurus on their leader.

"We did it Happy!" Luce yelled.

Suddenly we were surrounded by mages that must have been reinforcements from the guys Luce have just beaten. Luce reached for her keys, but before she could an arrow slid past her arm and cut her. It didn't kill her, but it knocked her out. They tried aiming for me, but I had moved from the ground and into the air faster than they could shoot.

"Hold on Lucy! I'll get help!" I yelled.
