Dany was told that Targaryen was a cursed name.

Her family had ruled Westeros. They had dragons, and were the most feared family in the Seven Kingdoms.

Until the King went mad.

Her world had come crashing down around her. Her family dead, her home torn apart. She could remember the Red Door, of her home. She wanted things to go back the way they were.

But she knew that would never happen. It could never be the same.

Her brother, a cruel man, had thought that he was protecting her. The Beggar King, begged for his life. He was no dragon. But somehow Dany still wished that he was there. She was scared. The whole of Westeros was meant to be under her control. She had a whole army full of people. But she was still scared. She tried not to show it. Fear topples armies, but it must be the armies who fear.

Dany was expected to take care of the entirety of a country. Without the prospect of having to defeat its current inhabitants already.

Jorah was in love with her. That much she knew. But she could never be with him. He was old, and she was brokenhearted. His jealousy, however, needed to be kept under control. She didn't want him to be in love with her, it complicated things. She didn't want to admit to herself that he was, she wanted it to fade.

Dany was still aching from the loss of her husband and son. She missed them, even though she hadn't met Rhaego. Dany loved them with all her heart, and would even give the Iron Throne to have them back with her. She knew she would only see them after her death, and she wasn't in that much of a hurry to get there.

Dany knew that she would be a good queen, but she would never forget her role as khaleesi. She would be the turning point, the change in the Targaryen bloodline.

Dany knew that the Targaryen bloodline was cursed. Her luck had failed her from the moment she was born, in the midst of a terrible storm. Yet that was how she got her name, and her title as Stormborn.

Dany would take the country of Westeros, and turn it into a place of peace and prosperity.

The Targaryen name would be cursed no more.
