"Inuyasha . . . I think I'm . . " Kagome struggled to speak as she laid on the damp forest floor. Blood surrounded her. It poured out of her chest and ran down the side of her mouth. She winced again and spat out more blood on Inuyasha's shirt.

"Kagome, oh God, please. Stay with me, you're not dying. Just hold on!" He pleaded.

He worked feverishly over her, trying to stop the bleeding, but it was no use. The blood was coming out no matter what. Kagome really was dying.

The thought of life without her made him sob and he grabbed her up in his arms. He kissed her face, getting blood on his lips. It didn't matter, nothing did.

"Kagome. You've gotta listen to me. Wake up, damn it!" He yelled at her. Her eyes were fading, he was running out of time.

"Oh God . . . Kagome. I love you. I love you. More than anything. Please don't do this, don't. Fight, Please! I love you!" He said into her hair, soaking her with tears.

"Inuyasha." She said simply, before her heart stopped.

"Kagome . . . KAGOME. Fuck! Please! Breathe, please! I'm so sorry, just don't go. I love you. You can't go . . . " He screamed, shaking her.

He held her close to him, not caring that her blood stained him. He sobbed into her neck, noticing the lack of life. He howled out with enough sorrow to fill any demon with empathy. He kissed her lips, then laid her down. Even in death, she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. He lost himself then, feeling his demon taking over. He welcomed the numb feeling as he howled once more.

Then, suddenly, Inuyasha was back in his hut, back to reality. Oh my God. . . This is the worst nightmare yet . . . He thought, clutching his chest. The pain, the blood . . . It all seemed so real . . .

He jumped up, suddenly feeling the urge to see Kagome. He ran quickly, following her scent to the bone eaters well. Oh yeah . . . He'd forgotten all about their stupid fight. Now, it all seemed so stupid. So pointless. He hurridly leaped into the well, anxious to see the girl he'd somehow fallen for.
