A Trip to Italy

I set off on a trip to Vicenza, Italy. It was my grand treat for graduating high school. Going to Italy has always been my dream vacation, and I was going to be spending most of my summer there. And I wanted to make it memorable.

I wanted to visit museums, go to historic sites, eat the best pastas and pizzas in the world, and just roaming the country in general.

I finally landed and met up with my pen pal, Silvia. She would also be my Italian translator while we were here. The brunette female smiled brightly and waved "_! Over here!" I grinned. We hugged and kissed each other's cheeks. "Oh my gawd, it's so nice to finally meet you face-to-face!" I beamed joyfully.

"I know I feel the same way!" Silvia exclaimed. She led me to her car, and we talked about what's been up since our last letter. We had been pen palling since we were in the fifth grade. It was an assignment to choose someone from your grade in another country to pen pal. We were so similar we had been best friends ever since. It would be so nice to actually spend some quality time with her.

After some site seeing we stopped off at a pizzeria. "Oh, this is such a cute quaint little place!" You exclaimed. "I knew you'd love it!" Silvia smiled. We took a seat and a waiter came up to us with a curl of hair that bounced.

"Oh, hey Feliciano!" Silvia said with a smile.

Feliciano smiled back, "Good afternoon Miss Silvia, I will be you and your beautiful lady friend's waiter tonight so I hope to make this a very nice evening for you both."

I giggled at his compliment and he then took our orders. He couldn't stop looking at me nor could I, at him. We both blushed lightly. He had to be the most gorgeous man you had ever seen. Silvia had pasta and I ordered a hot dog pizza, which turned out to be larger than I expected and they both laughed at my reaction. It was the best thing you ever tasted and Feliciano was amused by my name for the dish.

He left to grab our deserts, and Silvia grinned, "Why don't you ask him out?"

"What? Oh no, no, no, no, I can't, he probably already has a girlfriend."

"No he doesn't actually. We're good friends, I come here a lot. But I can definitely tell you guys totally have the hots for each other."

I blushed wringing my hands, "Really?"

She nodded.

"Well even so, I am a bit traditional."

She rolled her eyes with a grin, and then stood up, "Stay here, I need to go to the little ladies room.

After a bit she came back and told me she had already paid the bill.

"He gave us a discount." Silvia winked at me.

I got the idea that she was hinting he did it because of me. So obvious what she was trying to say.

Feliciano blushed brightly and used his hands to express what he was trying to say, "Would you like to get dinner or a drink or both with me? Sometime, if you'd like that?" He asked.

I grinned, "Thanks, I'd love that." I gave him my number and my friend and I walked out talking about my new boyfriend. This would definitely be a very memorable summer.
