Hardison is in love with Parker. He's known this fact for a long time now, but he refuses to act on it. Up until a few minutes ago, Hardison thought Parker didn't feel the same way.
The broken beer bottle and the fact that Parker has feelings for "pretzels" tells him that she's finally caught on, but she's not ready for a relationship yet.
Hardison loves her too much to rush Parker into a relationship. She has to come to terms with this, and that's fine with them.
Hardison would wait forever for Parker. He'll be there when she's ready.
