There never seems to be a break for me. Every day repeating. Everyday I'm getting more and more frustrated with the consistency.

"It's time." The solemn words echo through the dank hallway that is lined with hollow cells. Mine is the only one they use, but I know they are preparing more.

The Man grabs me by my frail wrist. Does he know that They chained me to the wall last night? With a painful tug I know they didn't inform him of this. His guttural sigh reaches my ears as he drops my arm to unlock the rusted metal cuff.

"I still think you're more trouble than you're worth." He mutters, again. If he really felt this way though I knew he would do something about it.

I don't say anything as he pulls me down the musky hallway. I couldn't even though I wanted to. They made sure of that. Just thinking about it makes the stitches tying my lips together itch. The thin corridor opens into a round room. Tesla Towers stand tall while emitting charges. The ominous chair in the middle of the room is foreboding. However I know what is coming next. They're going to run more tests.

'Why can't they just leave me alone? I was living a pretty nice life before these powers showed up.'

The Man sits me in the chair and locks me wrists and ankles in place. A wired helmet straight out of a bad science-fiction movie is placed on my head next. All I can do is glare at them. My starved muscles refuse to fight back.

"Where is it?" Same question.

I rolled my eyes; signaling that I can't talk with this damned ribbon holding my lips together. The Doctor gets the message and unwrapped my chapped lips. I run my tongue over the soft flesh.

"How many times do I have to tell you, I. Don't. Know!" I was expecting the Man to hit me, but nothing happened. However, he remained coiled like a snake about to strike.

"We believe you."

'Wait. What? That's new.'

"We have someone who is just dying to see you." His sneer sent chills down my spine.

He was practically thrown in front of me. His clothing in tatters and his hair disheveled. His eyes began to tear up when our eyes met. It's been too long.

"Clark." I chocked back a sob. "They're looking for a crystal of some sort."

"It's Lex. This has gone too far!"

It was then that I realized that he was hurt. He was mortal.

"What happened to you?"

"Blue." That one word set the tears down my cheeks. Clark once told me that the Blue Kryptonite made him mortal. Made him Human.
