Overview: so basically Regina goes through a portal to the realm where Ravenna and her Snow White exist. They meet and stuff goes down. Set after Graham fails to bring Regina Snow's heart in season 1. I suck at summaries sorry.
Chapter 1
Regina stormed through the castle, fury alight in her whiskey eyes. That damned huntsman had allowed Snow White to escape and had the gall to present the queen with the heart of a sheep. Did that imbecile really believe she would be fooled? The nerve. Shaking her head, she stalked into her chambers, slamming the doors shut behind her. She walked up to the full length mirror, her aggravation evident as she summoned the man in the mirror.
"Ah so the huntsman was a dead end, I see. It just so happens I have an idea, my queen," Sidney grinned smugly, causing Regina to roll her eyes.
"I'm sure you do. What do you propose? It had better be worth my while," She raised a perfectly groomed brow.
The mirror rippled before the image of a castle appeared, displaying spiked turrets and sitting on a cliff overlooking the sea. Made of dark stone, the palace appeared ominous in the light. Sidney's face reappeared in the glass and Regina frowned.
"And what does that have to do with anything?" She drawled.
"There is another queen who resides there who understands your predicament. In fact, she has a similar one."
"Ah. So you're suggesting that I meet with this queen and petition her for her assistance? I work alone Sidney," Regina snapped.
"I did not expect that you would, my queen. I simply think that with the both of you combined, you could accomplish many things. With your combined power, you could solve both your problems and likely defeat Rumplestiltskin as well." the man tempted.
Defeat that insufferable imp? Now that sparked Regina's attention. The conniving bastard was the cause of 99% of her problems. Without him, she'd be one step closer to her happiness. Her mind was made up.
"Where is this kingdom?"
"The kingdom of Tabor resides in another realm your majesty, accessible only by portal. I would be happy to send you through the mirror." Sidney supplied.
Regina considered it for a moment. On the one hand, it would be very beneficial to have another ally in her quest for revenge. From what Sidney had told her, it would seem that this queen had powerful magic as well. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to see what she has to offer, Regina mused. Glancing at the man in the mirror, she nodded. As the mirror rippled and shimmered, the queen took a deep breath and stepped through. As her surrounding melted into a blur of color around her, one thought was clear in her mind.
If this goes wrong in any way, Sidney will pay dearly.
…..
As the portal faded around her, new surroundings came into focus. The sky was grey and cloudy, the grass beneath her boots dry and withered. The trees in the forest in front of her were twisted and bore no leaves, a dark fog rolling in. The wood looked austere, the darkness unsettling. Turning, Regina saw that there was a road leading towards what was- hopefully- the palace Sidney had shone her in the mirror. Seeing as she had no horse with her, she set out on the dirt road.
Roughly 15 minutes later, she happened upon a dismal looking town. Regina may have been hell bent on revenge and dubbed as the "Evil Queen", but she took care of her kingdom. She would have never settled for such horrid living conditions for her subjects. Her lip curled in disgust as she walked quickly towards the castle on the cliffs towards the edge of town. The curious gazes of the townspeople irritated her. It was really none of her business who she was, but she supposed it was understandable to be curious about someone they'd never seen before, someone who was clearly a noble with her blood red coat made of the best material she could buy and the gemstones around her neck.
It wasn't long before she reached the gates of the palace, guards drawing their swords as soon as she drew near. Rolling her eyes, she disarmed them with a wave of her hand and using her magic, teleported into the courtyard. The moment the purple smoke of her magic settled, she was surrounded by guards. Smirking, Regina raised her hand before stopping herself. She didn't necessarily want to get on bad terms with this queen before even seeing her face. Clearing her throat, she spoke in her most commanding voice.
"I am here to speak with your queen," Regina sneered, "Now, which one of you is going to bring me to her?"
All of the guards stepped back, leaving one sentry remaining. The guard swallowed hard, adam's apple visibly bobbing in his nervousness. This must be the weak one of the group, Regina laughed internally. Gesturing for him to lead the way, she followed him into the stone palace. The corridors were dark and sinister and they moved with haste, Regina's heeled boots echoing on the smooth stone. They soon came to a stop in front of a pair of wooden double doors, great in size. The throne room. The cowardly sentry gestured to the two men stationed there to open the doors, which creaked loudly as they opened. Disgraceful, Regina sniffed. The Dark Castle in the Enchanted Forest was well tended to, servants oiling the door hinges frequently.
Walking slowly for added dramatic effect, Regina observed the woman seated at the thrown. Blonde hair twisted up, green eyes sizing her up. She was dressed in a black dress, metallic accents covering the bodice and skirt. A spiked black and silver crown sat on her head, which was tilted to the side in thinly veiled interest. Each finger on her right hand was adorned with rings unlike any Regina had seen before. These rings covered the entirety of each finger, ending in curved talons.
Stopping a few feet from the blonde woman, Regina inclined her head slightly. The Evil Queen bowed to no one. The woman on the throne narrowed her eyes, clawed fingers tapping in a line on the metal lining the arms of the throne. The queen stood and walked towards Regina, footsteps echoing as she circled her. Regina glared at her.
"I am Queen Regina of the Enchanted Forest. It would appear we could be of use to each other."
A/N Sorry if the spacing is weird, it was perfectly fine when I was writing it in docs
