During the Human-Covenant war Derrick James Stavaron is a young adult who is joining the UNSC to make a difference and he is also searching for his father who he hasn't seen since he was 9. The story plays out the next 7 years of his life as he rises the ranks in the UNSC he learns the struggle fighting in a war.

Prologue

War is any large scale, violent conflict. By extension, the word can be used for any struggle. War is an organized and often prolonged conflict that is carried out by states or non-state actors. It is generally characterized by extreme violence, social disruption and economic destruction. War should be understood as an actual, intentional and widespread armed conflict between political communities, and therefore is defined as a form of political violence or intervention. The set of techniques used by a group to carry out war is known as warfare. An absence of war is usually called peace. If that is peace then peace is now known as a myth…..

Date: July 14th 2545

*Derrick* I looked under my seat and pulled out my Data pad to look for something to read before I landed on Earth. I looked up more info about Earth. I wasn't raised here but I knew it existed and it is my home in way. It's the home to all of us in a way. [Pilot's voice] "Ok will be landing in about 10 minutes". Derrick pulled up a picture on the Data pad of him and his family before he landed. When he saw the picture he felt sad when he saw the picture. He wanted to talk to them but he had a mission to do first. He had to enlist into the UNSC and hopefully find his father he hadn't seen in 12 years.
