Searching for you day and night
Searching for my shining light
You're alive out there
Living somewhere
If it takes everything I am
If it takes everything I have

I promise you
This pain in my heart has a purpose
Though feelings right now are worthless
Because I cant tell reality from fantasy
Because my mind is now in insanity
Right now I feel useless
But I know I can do this
You may have noticed
That now, I now know this
It may be morning
But I see no light
My mind is clouded
And I can't see right
It's been this way
Since that day
The day I lost you to death itself
The day I failed to give you help
I'm blinded by my own dark heart
I'm helpless as I fall apart
I can't find you but I know your here
I can sense and feel you near
The moment you died in my arms
My soul tore in two
One part stayed with me
The other followed you
It followed you beyond the grave
And stayed with you through all the pain
Till you could emerge again
And live the life that didn't end
