"Darling, guess what!" Satine said emerging from under the covers.
Christian, who was sited infront of his typewriter,faced the woman. "What?"
"Anything you can do, I can do better! I can do anything better than you!"
Christian breathed heavy, "No you can't"
"Yes I can!" was the reply he got.
"No you can't!" he shot back.
"Yes I can!"
"Last time! No you can't!" he turned his attention back to his typewriter.
"Yes I can! Yes I can!"
"You asked for it! Anything you can be I can be greater. Sooner or later I'm greater than you!"
"Not you're not!"
"Yes I am!"
"No you're not!"
"Yes I am!"
No, you're not!"
"Yes I am! Yes I am! I can shoot a partridge with a single cartridge!" Satine gasped, could he?
"I can get a sparrow with a bow and arrow!" Satine sang in a Hah-I'm-wonder woman tone.
"You wouldn't really, would you?" He asked.
"No, it just fit in the song. I don't think I could anyway".
"Okay. I can live on bread and cheese!"
"Only on that?" she questioned.
"You bet!"
"So can a rat!" Christian frowned.
"Any note you can reach, I can reach higher!" Christian shot at her.
"No you can't" Satine sang.
"Yes I can!" Christian sang a little higher.
"No you can't!"
"Yes I can!" he sang higher.
"No you can't!"
"Yes I can!" Christian sang, still going higher.
Satine huffed, "No you can't!".
"Yes I can!" rang his voice, higher yet.
"No you can't!" she gave him a this is the last time look.
"Yes I can!" he sang. The highest note Satine heard him sing.
"Yes you can!" she said. "Darling, how can you sing that high?"
"I'm a girl".
Satine gasped. She got up, gathered her clothes, and walked into the bathroom to get changed. When she emerged she headed toward the door
"Where are you going?" he, or she asked.
"To clear my mind. Oh and I just found out that I'm dating a girl".
"I was joking!"
"Sure. Anyway I wanted to go for a walk for quite some time now. This was the perfect excuse to get away from you"
"You want to get away from me?"
"How long have we been in this garret now? At least a couple of days." she turned to leave.
"Wait, I'll come with you!"
"If you insist, you may come along".
"I insist!" Christian threw on a shirt and pulled Satine close to him. He kissed the nape of her neck and whispered in her ear, "Anything you can do I can do better".

Is Christian really a girl? Is Satine a man? I haven't decided yet, maybe I'll write a sequel to this stating whether they're not, or are. O.o Yea. Did you like it? R/R
