Lost
A young green changling alongside the shore behind the place he had come to love, his home. Inside where his friends chatted and laughed, a virtue that, at one time, he had been able to enjoy himself. That is, before She came into his life anyways. He wished he could say that he wished none of it had happened, that he had never met the blonde beauty that was nagging at his heart and mind. He wished he could say he didn't love her with all of his heart, but he just... couldn't. He stared across the rippling waves and setting sun, and immedietly thought of Terra. Her blond hair and tanned complexoin resembling the lowered sun, while the sea reminded him of her eyes, Deep, blue, and Mysterious. A small tear ran down his face as he let the flow of her memories flood his mind, her laugh, her smile, her, well, Terra-ness. Then he thought of her 'Replacement' , didn't like bugs, didn't like camping, didn't like him, just wasn't Terra.
He shook his head and wiped is eyes, knowing it was foolish to even think about her coming back, no, His Terra was gone forever, never coming back, he knew that now. The harsh hadn of experience had taught him that. He looked back towards the tower, knowing that it was getting late and that the others would soon start to worry.
He picked up a candle he had dropped earlier and made sure it was firmly in its red holder firmly before striking a match and lighting it. he stood up, candle in hand, and pored what was left of his heart into a prayer of hope. " Wait for me, one the other side, for my time may surly bide" he fought back tears be fore finishin with " Until our love binds us again" and a faint whisper of " I love you" before letting go of the candle. a small tear escaped and made a ripple in the water that sent the flame towards the sun. he turned around and continued until he was a t the front door, and whispered one last prayer towards what he knew could only be in the next life, "forever, yet never, lost to me" and went inside to his room before letting the steady flow of tear return for surly not the last time in a long time.
