Chapter 1- Still a Friend

'Best friends' that's what me and Taichi treated each other for almost 16 years. He seems to be like a real brother to me. We both graduated in the same elementary school (junior). We grew up together. We shared all the things about our lives- sorrows, happiness, failures, victories and even our inner most secrets. I never knew I would feel so cold in our friendship after Mimi came to our lives. It happens when we entered as freshmen…

Flashback

It's already 9:00 in the evening. I was sitting in my bed, playing my guitar when my cell phone rang. I look at the screen to see who's calling. "As I expected." I said to myself as I answer the call. "Hello" A voice coming from the second line said with excitement.

"Hey Tai! What's up?" I really feel his happiness that moment and I know its good news.

"I have good news to you Yamato!" Taichi said.

(A/N: It's really hard to make dialogues in a phone conversation so I just make it simpler.)

Matt: Not interested. (I joked)

Tai: Don't like to know it?

Matt: No.

Tai: Come on! Ask me!

I held the phone away from my ear. He really has a big mouth.

Matt: Ok fine! What is it?

Tai: Guess what, Mimi is now my girlfriend.

I was silent for a moment. Ya right. Even Taichi know me for a very long time, I never said to him that I like Mimi. Yes, I like Mimi. I like her since the day I met her in our school campus when I was in freshmen, but it was Taichi who first said that he like Mimi. So, I just shut up .I don't want Mimi be the cause of our fight. Still, I want to win her heart. I really want Taichi to know it, but when I try to say it to him, he always says many beautiful things he likes about Mimi.

I really thought it was good news. For him it's good, but for me. I was really hurt when he said that, but…

Matt: Congratulations! (I lied) but…

Tai: but what?

Matt: Since when did the two of you became… and why are you telling me that?

Tai: Last night.

Matt: Last night? What did you two do?

Tai: We didn't do anything bad (blushing). Didn't I tell you about our dinner?

Matt: You didn't say anything…(You cheater!)

Tai: Well… it doesn't matter at all.

Matt: So, why are you saying this to me?

Tai: Of course! You're my best friend and I want you to be the one to know it. Well… see you tomorrow at school. Bye!

I hate you Tai!
