A/N: So how long has it been since I did a fic for them? Can't remember. Just had to get this one up before I post the final chapter of Long Trip Alone involving Nick and Katie because there in it and well this has to do with it somewhat.

Never Take Friendship Personal

--

Sara pondered over her coffee the next morning thinking on how to bring up the topic of Nick and Katie's wedding reception, was he going as her date, would they go separately but still drive together, would he find someone to go with him that wasn't her? What was going on? The little dance she did for him yesterday should have him convinced that he belonged with her but she couldn't be around him all the time and the outside world could have gotten to him.

"You look a million miles away" Greg poured himself a cup and sat down near her, blowing on his drink before taking a sip.

"Do you wanna go to Nick and Katie's reception with me?" his eyes, which had been staring into his coffee, shot up to look at her.

"Since when did we start dating?"

"We aren't I mean I was just asking, we could go as friends or something" she was supposed to be the one in control but then why did she feel like cowering in a corner until he said what he had to say?

"If you don't want to go with me, I'm sure I could find someone to go with me" she assured him, why she didn't know.

"Who are you going to take? Grissom? Hank? Both are long gone sweetheart" she looked up from her coffee she had no clue she was staring into.

"I just asked, I didn't know you didn't want to go with me, I'll go by myself then" she stood up, how could he make her blood boil with just a few words and turn her on so bad her knees where shaking with another few.

"I'll go with you, only as friends but only if theirs a quickie involved and I get to say where and when"

"Fuck you I'll go by myself, it's our friends wedding reception I'm not sneaking out just because you want to fuck" she hoped her words convinced him more than her body language did because was one verge of agreeing.

"Look what I said before was a little rude and I wasn't thinking, it's just you've got me so damn bothered.." Greg rinsed off his face in the lab's bathroom, here he was in the bathroom practicing in front of a mirror, she had gotten to him. That dance that seemed to sneak up on him in the middle of doing anything was to blame. He was filling with need just looking at her, knowing that she was capable of doing what strippers do every day; it just turned him on to know that someone so prude and standoffish could do something so sinful and dirty it left him aching.

--

"Hey Sara wait up" Greg called out to her, she looked determined and he figured it had to do with the case she was working.

"What now Greg here to tell me who else has left me hanging?" he tried to remember all the words he's practiced in the mirror and couldn't remember any of it.

"Uhh no, I came to say that if you wanted to together that I'd be fine with it"

"The quickie?"

"Only if you want to" he said defeated

"Ohh we are going, but only as friends wouldn't want anyone to think otherwise now would we?" she smirked as she walked off.

After all you should never take friendship personal.
