Chapter 1
Alrighty, I know I got another story that a few people are waiting on...but due to a lack of creativity... Anyway,This might be a one-shot unless I get some ideas from my head as to another chapter. Any ideas are welcome of course!
Feeling less than creative, he sat down in the field where he was walking and picked a daisy off it's stem. Pulling off the petals one by one, he said silently to himself. She loves me... And with the pull of another petal, She loves me not. He had not learned this himself. She had taught it to him. Saying it was a normalcy to do this to see if someone you loved really loved you back.
He had thought it was stupid, telling her. "Why would anybody waste their time on something as useless as love?" She had just smiled a sad kind of smile at him. She had smiled like that for a reason. But what? She had said something after that. "You'll realize how important it is to everyone once you find it yourself." She had whispered three more words that-from his guess- he wasn't supposed to hear. "And to me..." She had said it so quietly that he almost did miss it.
"So...Does that mean that she want to find love? But with who?" Letting jealousy get the better of him he growled out "Better not be that damned wolf." Moment of immaturity aside. He went back to thinking. Why did she take off like that? All tearful. What did I do this time? (This being the same question his little group of friends had asked...He still didn't know.
It wasn't looking good. Reaching the last petal, he was on the 'not' one. Thinking to himself silently. There's just no way that she can't...she almost said it many times...yet, according to this damn flower... Standing up swiftly he said aloud. "Fuck it, I won't let something this important to me be dictated by a fucking plant!" Throwing the plant, he headed to where he knew she was going. The well.
Trudging along silently to herself. Thinking about what he had said earlier. "Why would anybody waste their time on something as useless as love?" She had smiled at him. In a hopefully normal way. But she had a feeling that she had slipped and let what she really felt show, on that smile. A kind of sadness at what he had said. When he had said that, he basically just said that he would love no one ever again. Not after Kikyo. She bit down on her lip urging herself to forget about her... But alas, she couldn't. She knew he had said what he did because of the hurt and betrayal he had felt after Kikyo, or what he thought at the time was her. Almost killed him, and sealed him to a tree.
She had been trying to have him forget the hurt, and to get his soft side to show. At least every now and then. And she had been making some damn good progress. His eyes, the piercing shade of molten gold had grown somewhat softer. Not like they were when she first met him. Hard and uncaring to anything in that world. And with that thought she suddenly realized. He does love me...but She added with a mental laugh. Has no way to show it. After all, it's not like he'd come out and tell her. Even with as much trust as they had in each other there are still things he didn't tell her. She was the same way.
She had the sudden urge to run and find him, But she just kept walking to the well. She knew he would be there waiting as he always was.
A/N I think I wrote that better than I usually do And yes it's short... But think of it as a trial type thing. If you people like it so far I'll write not. If you don't then, oh well
I guess. Anyway as I said at the top any ideas are welcome I don't plan my stories out, I make'em up on the go. So if you gotta idea tell me! Review if ya please.
