Finally, I get around to writing this. Remember the episode of Cheers where the bar burns down? We never got a similar episode on the spin-off Frasier. How would have such an episode went? That's where this story comes in. It takes place between seasons 8 and 9.

I do not own Frasier. CBS does.

It was another day at the Seattle radio station KACL. Frasier Crane was doing his talk show like every other weekday has gone since 1993. He was chatting with a caller named Bob.

"So Bob, why are you calling into my show?" Frasier asked. "I have trouble sleeping at night. I have undergone all kinds of measures to get sleep. None of them have worked. Please help me Frasier", Bob said. "Well, are you having nightmares?" Frasier asked.

"Yes I am. I'm too afraid to describe them though." Frasier then said, "why don't you start writing stories based on your nightmares, and confront them?" "That's a good idea. I'll do that Dr. Crane."

Meanwhile, in the station manager's office, manager Kenny Daly was enjoying a smoke. He did not seem to have a care in the world. Bulldog then knocked on the door, wanting to talk to him.

"Mr. Daly, we need to talk. You shouldn't be smoking all the time. I heard from Dr. Crane that you smoke 2 packs a day." Bulldog was very concerned for him. "You're right, maybe I should quit while I am ahead" Kenny said. "Good choice" said Bulldog, who took the lit cigarette and put it in the trash. "Bulldog you were supposed to put that out first" said Kenny.

"Come on let's go for a walk" Bulldog said. The two went for a walk outside, meanwhile a fire was started in the manager's office as the cigarette interacted with some trash. A while later, another employee noticed smoke coming out the door. He realized that the place was on fire.

"Everybody get out! Fire! Fire!" he yelled. Everyone started running down the stairs. The employee went to a fire alarm and set it off. Back in Frasier's studio, Frasier heard the alarm. Someone broke in and said "Fire! Fire! Get out!"

"Oh my God!" Frasier said. "Roz we must get out!" Frasier and Roz went as fast as they could to escape the burning building. Just about everybody escaped the burning building in time.

Bulldog and Kenny returned to see everybody outside. "I don't believe this!" Kenny said. Frasier then said, "look up." Kenny realized what was going on.

As fast as they could, fire trucks began coming to the KACL building. The firefighters tried as best as they could to extinguish the fire.

Frasier said, "I have been through this before". Roz said, "what do you mean Frasier?" "Back in Boston a bar I frequented burned down."

It was happening all over again. A building Frasier frequented caught fire.

It was certain that KACL would be off the air for a while. What would the staff do in the meantime? Find out in later chapters...
