My first attempt at a "Jay-Jay the Jet Plane" story, this time it's "Jay-Jay's First Run" Enjoy and comment.

Right before dawn one morning, Jay-Jay the Jet Plane was wide awake. He was too excited to sleep. At dawn, Jay-Jay would be taking his first flight,.

All the other planes were sound asleep, except for Big Jake, the biggest and toughest plane in the fleet.

Big Jake looked at Jay-Jay and the little jet plane became startled.

Big Jake just said nothing. He just stared at the now frighted Jay-Jay.

"Today is my very first flight." said Jay-Jay nervously.

Big Jake was cross.

"I'll fly higher than any other plane!" said Jay-Jay.

"Better get some sleep kid. You're gonna need it." said Big Jake.

A few hours later, it was time for Jay-Jay's first flight, and he was excited.

Easy O'Malley, the head of the airline gave Jay-Jay a pep talk.

"You are going to be a great jet engine!" he said.

Jay-Jay was so excited, he didn't hear a single word. All he wanted to do was dazzle everyone with his flying.

"All we need is a quick spin-around the valley and that shall be fine." continued Easy O'Malley. "Remember to follow your flightplan and..."

But before Easy O'Malley could finish, Jay-Jay took off as fast as lighting. He took off so fast, that Easy O'Malley's hat blew off!

Jay-Jay flew through the sky at warp speed, did a double twist, and lowered down. He was having a wonderful time.

He then started flying upside down.

"That's not in the flightplan!" shouted the pilot.

Jay-Jay didn't care. He was having the time of his life.

He soared, flipped, and looped in the sky.
But the pilot was furious!

"That's enough!" he snapped as he took control of Jay-Jay.

When Jay-Jay landed back at the airport, a group of people were waiting for them.

Jay-Jay thought they were happy to see him, but was sorry to see that they weren't happy at all. Everyone was beyond, and I mean BEYOND furious. Easy O'Malley was the angriest of all.

"What you did up there was very dangerous!" he thundered. "You have not only caused confusion and delay, you almost caused a very nasty accident!"
"I'm sorry." said Jay-Jay sadly. "I was just trying to show off."

"You'll be sorry when you learn to follow the rules. I hope this will teach you a very valuable lesson."

Jay-Jay was sad, but he wondered if he could ever follow the rules. I wonder if he will, don't you?
