Disclaimer - I don't own Harry Potter or any of the characters mentioned in this drabble.

This is just a short drabble that I had to write when the idea was first planted in my mind. It's AU as Tonks lived (I'm still in denial...)

Anyway, enjoy! And review?

The pair stood together staring solemnly at the smooth grey tombstone before them which was decorated with freshly picked flowers.

It had been a month since the final battle, since Remus and Fred died. It had bought them together again, given them some common ground that they hadn't had together since their Hogwarts days. They shared their grief and just talked. Really talked.

Overhead the clouds had formed and casted darkness seemingly only around the graveyard, around them. He looked across to her, taking in her mousy brown hair and dark grey eyes, the way her cloak engulfed her small body and the way the rain disguised her tears. She returned his gaze, only for a moment, before looking back towards a tombstone on the other side of the graveyard that she had spent last hour sat beside. She did not smile.

"Any regrets?" her voice was quiet, and Charlie almost missed the wavering question that she had asked him.

He remembered the day he told her he was going to Romania; the way her face fell slightly before immediately perking up and telling him how great this was, the way she had held him as he told himself over and over that this was the right thing to do.

He remembered the first letter she had sent him, telling him that she missed him but hoped he was happy. The way he pretended not to see the dried tear stains on the parchment.

He remembered the first time he saw her since returning from Romania. It had been years and she hadn't changed; the same short, bubblegum pink hair and the way her eyes lit up as she saw him made his knees weak. He remembered the feeling of cold that spread through his body as the ring that sat on her finger brushed his palm.

He remembered losing her.

He remembered the day of her wedding. How damn happy she looked, and the way she kissed her new husband. The way she used to kiss him.

He remembered the way she had ran into his arms after he'd died. How she had sobbed into his shoulder as they took his body away. The way she screamed 'no' when he told her that it would get better, that they'd get through this together.

He nodded, considering, "I wish they were all still alive..." he wrung his hands together and felt the lump forming in his throat and the backs of his eyes begin to burn. Tonks nodded before turning to leave him stood at his younger brother's tombstone.

"...and I wish you still loved me."
