Mario dodged a shot from Fox's blaster, then hit him from behind with
the Bob-omb he had been carrying. The anthropomorphic fox was sent
flying over the horizon.
It was only then that the plumber saw a figure approaching. His first
thoughts were that the figure was Donkey Kong, but upon closer
inspection he saw that this gorilla had black fur and wore a yellow
tie and an eye patch.
The strange ape walked up to Mario. "Hello", he said. "You must be
Mario. I am Dankey Kong".
Mario looked at the gorilla with a puzzled expression.
"From the Dankey Kang Country games?" he said. "Don't tell me you've
never heard of them?"
"They-a sound like-a cheap rip-off of the Donkey Kong games", said Mario.
"Dankey Kong" looked flabbergasted. "Who is this "Donkey Kong" and why
would people think that?" he asked. "Anyway, I've come to kidnap you
so you can star in my new game: Dankey Kang Country 6".
"If-a you are-a Dankey Kong, why are-a the games called Dankey Kang?"
asked Mario.
"It's been that way ever since Dankey Kang Country 1", said Dankey
Kong. He ran at Mario and attempted to punch him. "DANKEY PUNCH!" he
cried, as Mario dodged the attack.
That punch was just like Donkey Kong's Giant Punch, thought Mario, as
Dankey Kong rolled round him to attack from behind. But Mario was too
quick, and jumped off the black gorilla's head to land behind him.
"DOUBLE DANKEY ROLL!" he yelled, rolling behind Mario again. "From
Dankey Kang Country 13!"
"If-a the game you want-a me to star in is-a "Dankey Kang Country 6",
why are-a you talking about-a Dankey Kang Country 13", said Mario,
leaping to avoid Dankey's punch. "You-a haven't made it-a yet".
"I have made Dankey Kang Country 13!" said Dankey Kong. "It was my
third ever game!"
Mario decided not to ask, as Dankey Kong tried to head butt him.
"You fight a lot like Donkey Kong", said Mario, leaping back to dodge
the attack.
"Then he must have stolen my fighting style", said Dankey Kong
angrily. "Yes, I can see it now! His games must be like rip-offs of
mine! And the worst kind of rip-offs at that: the kind people mistake
for being the original! I bet this "Donkey Kong" person even has the
same Stealth Hat!"
"But..." began Mario, but Dankey Kong interrupted. "Dankey Sword!" the
black ape hollered, drawing a beam sword.
"1900:4700!"
"What is that-a supposed to mean?" asked Mario as the ape lunged
forward, throwing the sword. The hilt hit Mario in the face, knocking
him back. He looked up to see Dankey Kong about to slam him with his
hands. "Dankey Drop!" he yelled, slamming his fists into the ground.
Mario leapt back to dodge it, only to be caught off guard by Dankey
Kong now rolling at him like a bowling ball. The plumber was thrown
back into a wall knocking him out.
When he woke up, he was tied to a post. Tied to another post beside
him was Sonic the Hedgehog.
"Hey, Mario!", said Sonic. "Do you know why we're here?" Mario shook
his head, then turned it to see Dankey Kong pulling the cart their
posts were attached to up a steep mountain.
"Hey, Dankey Kong!" shouted Mario. "Where are-a you taking us?"
"I must meet with my master to see if I am ready to make a new Dankey
Kong game", said Dankey Kong.
"Who's your master?" asked Sonic.
"The Great Captain Falcon", replied Dankey Kong.
