So my buddy and I were talking about how we think that the grins on Rachel and Dani's faces when Rachel left early were full of conspiracy.

"Hey, Rachel, can I talk to you for a second", Dani asks approaching the short brunette.

"Hi Dani", Rachel says brightly, "how can I help you?"

Dani takes a quick look around to make sure that she and Rachel are alone in the back of the diner. Rachel, Santana and she are all working the overnight shift and she doesn't want to risk the Latina hearing what she's about to ask Rachel.

"Can I talk to you for a second about Santana", Dani asks.

A grin instantly spreads across Rachel's face, "Absolutely!"

"You guys are friends right", Dani questions.

"Yes, we are. Santana has become one of my best friends", Rachel tells her.

"Awesome", Dani replies with a smile, "then maybe you could help me out with her."

Rachel thinks for a moment knowing Santana is a bit stubborn and likes to do things her own way. "Santana is stubborn and won't listen to me but so much", Rachel starts and sees Dani's hope diminish a bit, "but maybe I can leave a little bit early and give you two a little alone time", Rachel finishes with a wink.

Dani's face lights up at the idea, "That would be great!"

Santana's POV

I watch as Dani walks into her building with a smile on my face. I turn around to make my way back to the loft. After spending the early parts of the morning with Dani I find myself looking forward to getting to know her better.

Once I reach the apartment building the fatigue that I managed to forget about while with Dani hits me like a ton of bricks. I trudge up the stairs of the stoop and slowly make my way to the elevator. The elevator thankfully arrives quickly and within a minute I'm standing in front of the door to the loft. I unlock the door and enter fully expecting to see no one since Rachel is probably in bed after her first graveyard shift. So I'm a bit surprised when I walk in and see Rachel sitting on the couch looking anxious.

"So, Santana, anything interesting happen after I leave", Rachel questions looking like the Cheshire Cat.

The smile that spreads across my face is reflexive, "We talked, sang a song together and watched the sunrise together and then I walked her home", I can't help but gush.

"Aw, Santana I've never seen you like this before", Rachel exclaims, "It's so cute! Anything else happen?"

"She may or may not have kissed me", I tell her.

Rachel jumps up squealing and I cringe at the high pitched sound so early in the morning. "Berry seriously, too early!"

"I knew this was a good idea", Rachel squeals.

"Wait, what was a good idea", I ask her. Rachel looks at me like a kid that just got caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

Rachel fakes an exaggerated yawn, "Oh look at the time. I'm suddenly very tired. Good morning Santana."

"Rachel! What do you mean", I call to her as she disappears behind her privacy curtain. "Rachel!" No response.

"Why do I feel like I've been set up", I question to myself only to be met with silence.
