The Marauders

A/N: All right people, I think this is the best story I have, but its not finished yet. R/r if you please because well flames will be used to heat my house during the winter.

I also have 3 other stories going right now so it'll probably take time to get this finished.

Chapter 1- The Beginning

"Remus!" Monica hissed across the library table. "You can't keep doing this!

"I still don't know why you care." Remus muttered avoiding the Slytherin's eyes.

Monica growled deep in her throat. "You've been gone like this three months in a row! Do you think they don't notice?"

"Why don't you tell your friends?"

"And let them use it against me?" she snorted. "No thanks."

Both of their heads jerked toward the door.

"You'd better go." Monica said. "And Reem-"

"Yeah?"

Let me know if you need help to pull pranks on Lucius."

Remus laughed softly and gathered his books. "I will, Mon." Walking quickly he reached the library door just before James opened it.

"There you are!" James exclaimed. "Sirius and I have been looking for you everywhere."

"I had some homework I had to do." Remus replied following his friends to the entry hall. "Where are we going?"

James laughed. "Lily's by the lake."

"Yeah. We figured she wanted to get wet." Sirius snickered, rubbing his hands together.

"With blue dye?" Monica sneered as she breezed past, blue hair flying. "I'm sure. But it won't look as good as mine."

"How does she do that?!" Sirius asked angrily. "Now she'll probably tell Lily."

"I doubt it." Remus said quietly. "She's too busy waylaying Peter." He pointed toward the Forbidden Forest.

Monica was indeed torturing the other first year. She was forcing Peter to the edge of the forest when suddenly a growl was issued from it.

Grabbing Pettigrew by the robes, Monica shoved him behind her. A deep growl emanated from her throat. Again the creature growled. Monica snorted. A young wolf cub. She turned away from the forest to glare at the fallen Gryffindor.

"Scared, you little rat?" she sneered, stalking by him. If there was one thing she hated it was a rat. She could always tell which students were the rats, and Pettigrew was a rat.

Suddenly smiling, Monica headed toward the lake. She didn't want to miss the show. She stopped only to grab Severus and drag him along.
