Inside one of the most expensive limousines in history, Dimitri and Anya were seated together holding mixed emotions of anticipation and curiosity all the while they were driven through the towns in France on the way to the harbour. They were then supposed to board a private liner to England where famous royalty were already awaiting them. Just the thought of such a dramatic turn of events was overwhelming enough to birth endless streams of doubts and reluctance at the same time. If he could choose, Dimitri would prefer to wallow in a state of denial and even entertain the possibility of being targeted by conmen who were much more highly-skilled than him. He turned to Anya, who responded to his yearning gaze with a calming smile that caused part of his apprehension to be dispelled for the moment. Something in their tacit exchange stirred a sudden and somewhat insensible inner urge within him.

Dimitri then decided and requested for the driver to pull over to the side of the road and stopped. Even Anya was surprised...

Dimitri swiftly got out of the limousine before anyone else could prevent him and headed towards a street corner book shop. Anya has to assure everyone on behalf of Dimitri that they would be fine and hurried to catch up with him out of the vehicle...

Finally by the sidewalk, Dimitri managed to get hold of what he desired and Anya realised that he was skimming through one of the pages of the day's paper headlines at a stand in front of the shop.

"What did you see here?" Anya quickly asked as she could not read French.

He was both intrigued and concerned when he turned to her and answered, "There was just begun a famine and drought in Russia..."

Anya was taken aback...Meanwhile, their presence has caught the attention of passers-by all around...Their prince and princess like attire have created chatters and squeals of delight amongst the young and old who were starting to crowd around them until they needed to be ushered back into the limousine once again...Yet, this was not possible until their English noblemen followers managed to appease headstrong Dimitri by purchasing over a dozen copies of every different newspapers of the day that were available from the shop...
